> 3 dayReally wanted to like this railing but it’s a 50/50 for me. I like that the materials are sturdy and the railing serves it’s purpose to keep my toddler from falling out her bed. What I don’t like (1) Assembling the product was harder than expected. I read the book and followed the instructions but the parts were not labeled as indicated in the booklet. I had to just use an online pic to figure it out. (2) This product was not made to realistically attach to the bed frame. I tried both options presented and neither worked. The railing was still able to move around or pull off the bed. As you can see in my picture, we had to get strings and tie the railing to the bed frame. That was the only was to keep it firm and secured. (3) The levers to pull down the railing are so hard to pull up. I had to just allow my child to climb over to get out of bed

> 3 dayThe product itself is built beautifully and would have been very easy to install and use. However, with the limited measurements provided and the promise of “fitting any bed frame type”, this product does not deliver. My daughter has a recessed mattress within a bed frame with slats. It is a standard size from a major furniture retailer, professionally built. It is impossible to tell from the item description and measurements exactly how recessed the mattress could be before the product will not work, and unfortunately, my daughter’s bed is a bit too recessed. The hinge would have to sit shoved between the mattress and the outer bed frame, compressing the mattress between the rail guards, or otherwise the horizontal support beam would have to bend significantly upwards under the mattress to allow the hinge to sit above the bed frame. I’d recommend the company make it clear in the measurements how much distance there is between the hinge and the horizontal bottom beam for the purpose of a recessed bed. I’d also recommend not advertising the product as “fitting any bed frame type” as that is quite misleading.

> 3 dayDidn’t know if it would work with just a metal frame with mattress and box springs but it works perfectly and stays tight!

> 3 dayThis was easy to put together and with a standard box spring and mattress on top, it just slides under the mattress and is super sturdy! We love how it goes down flat so you can easily walk buy/make the bed without it in the way. We are using this for our small dog who sleeps in bed with us who is having night vision issues and may fall off the bed. Hopefully this helps to keep her safe!

16-11-2024It takes a few minutes to screw in all the screws and if you need to rebox it until you need it again, then it doesnt fold flat to stick in a closet. Its a big L shape with the straps flying around. You have to get out the screw driver and take it all apart again. But once youve got everything put together, it works well, gets out of your way easily, and looks good. It wont just fall out of the side of the bed. You must instruct friends who havent used one on how to fold it down. The locking mechanism is so well designed it isnt obvious to find, and its small. This makes it attractive, but unintuitive. You want that. You dont want your toddler (or your elder dementia patient) to figure it out!
