> 24 hourIt was a fantastic, quick drying umbrella until one of the ribs snapped in light wind. Not sure if I have a defective unit or if the umbrella does not live up to what the description states, but it certainly would not withstand the 70 mph wind that the description advertises. If it was actually wind proof, the rest of the umbrella would be fantastic. Edit: Totes customer service was fantastic. They replaced my unit for free, quickly, with no questions asked. Hopefully my new umbrella doesnt break, because it is otherwise a very well made umbrella.

> 24 hourCan’t believe amazon sells such low grade products. To spend 20$ on this garbage is a mistake. The umbrella arrived broken. With a part missing. Don’t you check what you’re packing? I only gave 1 star because I dint have the option to give 0.

> 24 hourAppears to be a good option for everyday storage in your vehicle driver side door. Easy storage as it is only 11” long with adequate coverage when opened for use. Quality construction should give it long life.

> 24 hourAn umbrella is such a basic thing but it is so frustrating when it breaks or doesnt work in the wind. I LOVE this umbrella! It is the perfect size to keep me dry and the push button is wonderful for getting in and out of the car. The best part is that it can withstand wind gusts! Not sure the mph but I am pretty impressed.

> 24 hourSuch a great umbrella. While all my co-workers umbrellas were inverted because of the wind, mine stayed in place. I also love the easy open feature because my kids take it to school and I dont worry about them having issues opening or closing the umbrella!

> 24 hourI’ve always trusted Totes but I must say that this umbrella was a disappointment. I find that I can quickly tell how well an umbrella is from how it opens up after you press the auto open/close button. As soon as it opened up I didn’t get that initial solid feedback that you get when everything expands. Now it could be the spring in the rod but I could tell that this one was weak. Although it was roomy and provided plenty of coverage from the rain it did not handle well during windy days. When the wind picked up, this umbrella felt weak and looked ready to turn inside out. It felt unstable and provided me no confidence against the rain. A little draft would shift the umbrella almost picking the umbrella out of my hands, meanwhile I look at the person next to me and they haven’t moved their umbrella. Needless to say, this umbrella is being used as a spare in the trunk of the car.

> 24 hourI ordered the black Totes auto open close umbrella from Amazon (not third party seller) and it works very well. The metal ribs are more sturdy than a normal umbrella but the joints broke on mine after a few months of occasional use and the auto open and close feature is very convenient. The umbrella easily fits into my laptop bag but it is a little heavier than a standard umbrella. The umbrella is covered by a Totes warranty but I have to pay the cost to ship the umbrella to Totes. As I write this review, it costs $7.35 for a flat rate envelope from the USPS so that would be an ok option.

> 24 hourI purchased this one as the Totes automatic umbrella I had before lasted over 25 years. They make a great product.

> 24 hourSo far, this umbrella has served me justice given that I live in a region where it rains more than most other areas. The umbrella has been able to withstand the high winds as it boasts, and weve experienced some high winds lately so I am quite impressed with it. I would recommend this umbrella.
