> 3 dayThis dimmer plug works perfectly as expected and paired with our i phones easily. We purchased one and it quit working after just a week, contacted the manufacturer and they quickly assessed our issue and sent another one out without question. It arrived only one day later. Great customer service!!

opinion man
Greater than one weekI thought the item wasnt working and they sent me a free replacement and then I discovered I wasnt using it correctly. Originally I thought it was just a on and off but it (as I found out) is variables speed and if you slow down low enough the item I was using it on wouldnt operate acting like it wasnt working. My apologies to the company selling this and am willing to pay for the 2nd one. Thanks

> 3 dayDimming of outdoor string lights is essential to control the outdoor vibe, especially with multiple strings that can be bright and harsh. I was using a tabletop lamp dimmer duct-taped into a baggie and tucked under an eve. Definitely not optimal and potentially dangerous. It was time to find an outdoor-rated dimmer. I didnt think I needed any smart home functionality, I mean, its just a dimmer, right? But man is this thing fun! Alexa integration works great. Name the plug anything you want eg terrace, patio, pool, etc.) and say Alexa, turn on patio. Alexa, set patio to 55 percent. And the like. But really, the app is even better! After all, youll be outside with your phone while youre enjoying the lighting. The apps home page is simple, just an on/off button and a dim level slider that will dim in real time (lights dim as you move the slider, not after you stop moving it) in increments of 1%. Within the app you also have the option to set upper and lower dim range limits in case you have dimmable LEDs that tend to flicker when too dim. When you turn off the lights the dimmer does a soft off quick fade. Awesome addition to our outdoor hangout area. IMPORTANT TIP: When pairing and setting up the dimmer, follow the PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS that come in the box, NOT the steps in the app. The app is more generic to all of Treatlifes products and does not contain critical steps specific to this plug. Setup is very easy but you will not get it on the network without the printed steps.

> 3 dayLove that I can operate my gazebo lights from my phone now. You can set a timer and dim the lights exactly as you like them.

> 3 dayMy outdoor fountain flow rate was strictly a manual and difficult operation. While this dimmer is made for lights, I can tell you that it works great to control the flow rate using my phone, instead of digging in the rocks for the valve.

> 3 day***Updated Review*** This is advertised as a dimmable WiFi controller. It does dim, but only 18%? Seriously? 18%? Dont get me wrong, I know most LED lights and controllers struggle with dimming, but even the worst one I have in my house can go to at least 10%. Alexa integration was a pain, but Im tech savvy and figured it out soon enough. The key is, that despite having an app for this dimmer called Treat Life, when you do the integration with Alexa, you have to search for Smart Life. If you already have the Smart Life skill added to Alexa, you have to disable it, and then add it back and sign in with your Treat Life account you used when you setup the app. Not exactly a friendly approach to enabling the smart skill, especially if you use Smart Life for other things (I dont). After that comes the interaction with Alexa...She cant dim the lights (or at least she cant dim MY lights). Turn them on and off, yup, no problem. Alexa, Dim the lights to (eh hem) 18%? - nothing. Ok, pull the app out, dim the lights to 18%...yup, that works.... OK, Alexa integration is a slight issue...move on. Hey, its waterproof...so far. ***Update*** After I wrote my review a representative reached out and offered a replacement device. Im hopeful this new device works better and has more dimming range.

> 3 dayEasy to use smart plug with dimming feature. The App found and added the device effortlessly. Just wish it has a slightly longer cord. but still better than having to be plugged into the socket directly and taking up the whole thing.

> 3 dayThis is second one I bought. First is 3 or 4 years old and dimmable with incandescent lights and I think with some led, but not ones I bought. Works great with Alexa To turn on/off or if you set up a routine. . Makes Christmas decorating easy too.

> 3 dayMy wife ordered a string of edison lights for our backyard. The Treatlife DP10 smart plug was recommended for outdoor light automation so we ordered it. I plugged the device into a wall outlet and used my phone to download the app from the QR code and was able to setup the device within a few minutes. Once it was tethered to my home router I plugged it into the outdoor cord. Worked great the first night and then we had a storm that caused my home power to flicker. This appears to have caused the DP10 to reset and lose the configuration as the light on the device was red instead of white. The remedy was simple, I went through the configuration again with my smartphone and then plugged it back in. No issues since. I have not experienced issues with rain water getting in and shorting the unit as some have suggested. I was able to integrate this plug with Alexa fairly easily. I saved the device as a light in place of a plug in Alexa. This then let me use some canned routines Sunset lights to turn lights on 5 minutes before sunset and a turn-off lights routine for late at night. So far no issues with Alexa integration. This is a solid smart plug for the price. Dont just take my word for it check out the Possum looking at the edison lights in the third picture :-)
