> 3 dayPaired this with bright tech outdoor lights. The app also n this thing is super user friendly and I couldn’t imagine having anything else. This thing is tough and has been in our enclosed back porch for a year with absolutely no issues. It had a lot of use over the summer months and can’t wait to use it again!

> 3 dayWorks good overall, but I have had a few annoyances. Ive had the about three weeks now. 1) Setup wasnt a complete breeze. Not terrible but I did have to remove the devices from the app and add them back a couple of times to get it to go through. 2) Several times both plugs (I bought 2) have gone offline, not at the same time. At least thats what Alexa says. Unplugging them from power and plugging back in causes them to start working again. 3) Ive noticed a flickering in my LED light strings when set to a low setting like 10%. Its not awful, but enough to be annoying.

> 3 dayEverything works great, app on cell phone easily controls dimming, time setting but I would like to set the dusk to dawn but cant figure out how to make it work. Havent taken the time to contact the manufacturer/seller. Im sure its probably a simple setting under scenes but cant figure out how to save the setting. If you are tech savy this is a good device for you.

05-06-2025Ok, lets start with the good. It definitely works with SmartThings It definitely works with Google Assistant Now that I have it installed and have my patio covered in string lights, I love it. Now the bad: Last night when I was trying to get it working with SmartThings, I was not loving it... at all. It you have SmartThings and want to use this Treatlife outdoor dimmer, read this first. Setup an account with Smart Life first, download the app. It looks like a little house with a blue background and two waves on the roof. This is the first hurdle, it is in the app store from Volcano Technology. I kept looking for it under Tuya, thats who used to make the app. Add the device as a dimmer switch wifi. The picture wont match the device, plug in the adapter to an a/c outlet, the light should blink. Now let the app search for it, now it will add a device that looks like what you are trying to use. Now go into SmartThings and add the device, search by brand for Smart Life (two words), then choose outlet. Youll see a message compatible but not certified in United States click on the Smart Life icon, select your location and room. It will all you for your account info, this is why you set up the account earlier, you cant do it here. If everything goes ok, it should say successfully connected to Smart Life. Now the device can be configured in SmartThings, and used like any other device. If you have SmartThings linked to Google, have Google update devices and it should show up in the Google home app. I hope this saves you the hours I spent putting these pieces together.

> 3 dayThe smart feature stopped working after about 10 months. After trying to reinstall, it wouldnt connect with the app. In the end, the vendor replaced the unit with a new one.

> 3 dayProduct works well and is easy to install. More impressive is the customer service. The initial item I received got water in it during a heavy rainstorm due to the angle it was sitting (definitely have the outlet opening facing down!). One quick email and a new one was sent out to replace it (which has now survived successive rainstorms suggesting it might have been more user error than product error).

> 3 dayI love the functionality of the smart switch. I had an issue with one of the units I bought and contacted customer service and they addressed my issue quickly and efficiently. I would definitely buy more of these smart switches.

Greater than one weekLove that I can operate my gazebo lights from my phone now. You can set a timer and dim the lights exactly as you like them.

> 3 dayOverall, this is a good dimmer switch. I have it hooked up to an outdoor LED strip and i can control light setting using the app, Google, and voice via Google. It goes from 10% to 100% brightness. My only complaint is that when switched to off theres a tiny bit of current going to the LED strip. Its enough to cause them to glow and is barely noticeable but I worry the effect on LED lid so I unplug when Im not using it. This somewhat defeats the purpose of a switch.
