> 3 dayExactly what I was expecting but now I think I should have just forked out the extra money and got the updated model for the simple fact you can hodl more types of alt coins. If you need a hardware wallet for long term hodl of btc, eth, and doge this is an acceptable wallet at a decent price.

> 3 dayTrezor is the best hardware wallet for Bitcoin that I’ve used yet. I like that I can customize the front, I chose the Times of London paper. It’s one of the most versatile bitcoin hardware wallets, and it’s founded by cyberpunk bitcoiners. I don’t really trust buying cryptocurrency wallets on amazon for myself. You never know what happens in between. It’s best to buy direct from the manufacturer if you want to avoid there being a Man In The Middle attack. I ended up giving this one away as a gift because I’m a bit paranoid.

> 3 dayBad stuff first: If you create a wallet on your desktop and store your private keys on this device then you will not be able to plug this device into your iPhone to restore the wallet there (in case you like to check it from time to time on the go, like me). However, as you will most likely be HODLing if you are considering purchasing this device then this shouldn’t really be a huge issue. Also, the number of supported coins for this device is rather limited. Heck, Cardano is the 3rd largest cryptocurrency and it’s not supported. I’d encourage you not to use the default trezor software as your wallet. I also can’t figure out how to make the password saving feature for this work. Good stuff: It is secure, never been hacked and is sleek. Setting it up is fairly intuitive and it makes sure you’re aware how the seed phrase is to be protected and other things like that - so I’d say it’s beginner friendly. The trezor community/support is also very nice and has helped me a bit. Overall I’d say this device is on par with Ledger. Though it really comes down to whether or not your coin(s) of choice are supported by this device and if you care that it’s not iOS compatible.

> 3 dayI seldome write reviews that are negative unless they are very warranted. I purchased this item a little over a year and a half ago and it say unused in its box since then. When I opened and began the process of linking the device to my crypto wallet the link failed and now after literally one use it cannot connect to any computer. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with my purchase and hope the seller will make this right.

> 3 dayThe Trezor is the perfect secure hardware device for long term storage of your bitcoins. The ideal use case is to store bitcoin savings, and use the device to occasionally top up a mobile wallet which is used for casual spending. The Trezor is not designed for everyday casual spending, as currently it must connect to a computer via a cable in order to spend. Another use case is to slowly accumulate bitcoins using dollar cost averaging, and send the purchased bitcoins to the Trezor, which can be stored in a safe deposit box or home safe. You do not need to access the physical device to add bitcoins, only to spend. The device is extremely light and small, and can easily be carried with you, although that is not needed for the use cases described above. Hopefully a future version will work with mobile phones and without a cable. There was a limited run of aluminum devices, which would be nice to have as a buying option now, in addition to the plastic.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent wallet that keeps your coin safer than software wallets, or - god forbid - trusting an exchange with your fortune. It was easier to use than I anticipated: firmware and software installed easily (even on Linux), and you operate it through your PC (I thought you had to enter your PIN and passphrase on the tiny thing, but the two buttons on it are only for Yes/No decisions). My favorite feature is that it can have hidden wallets which are encrypted with a passphrase. This way, you can have a decoy wallet with a low balance on it, and keep the stash away from anyone that asks, say, at customs. Speaking of stealth, Im glad this device looks a little cheap, as if it was an AC remote or something, and not like it has nuclear codes on it like the Ledger Nano. As a neat surprise value, the maker also has a password manager in the works (currently in Beta), which looks promising, and again, should be more secure than using a software-only solution.

> 3 daySimple enough, and the new trezor suite makes it easier to use with Eth. However, the wallet is limeted on what coins it supports. Its fine for a few types but review the listing to make sure it will hold what you buy.
