I recently purchased a set of Klipsch 600Ms to replace a set of Bose 301 Series 4s, and thought they were outstanding but not quite the full sound I was looking for, especially in the mid-range, where many vocals sounded muddy. So I continued searching; once I heard these Triangle Borea BR 03, I knew they were what I need for a small room (16 x 22) setup. While not as full in the bass as the Klipsch set, theres a sufficient amount for me, since most of my listening is classical, jazz, some vocals and a smattering of rock. If I want more bass, I just switch on the sub-woofer, but I havent really felt the need to use it much. The break-in time for the Triangles was fairly short, less than a day, a sharp contrast to the month it took for the Klipsch to sound their best. The mid-range sounds are full, the bass is certainly there, and the highs are bright (a down-turn on the treble control settles that). Im really more than just satisfied with the BR 03s, since the sound is fuller than what I grew used to over the years. At $400, they were a bargain!

Decent fidelity for the size. I am unable to place them 20 from the back wall as I think was recommended (despite the fact that the bass ports are in the front of the speakers). Mine are only about 10 from the back wall. In my opinion, the bass is a bit prominent (but muffled) for accuracy (comparing to my Sony MDR-V6 headphones, which are said to be VERY accurate). The treble seems good. Piano sounds excellent on these speakers. Overall, I am pleased, considering the small size and placement in my small area. Not surprisingly, they sound a bit better with the grill removed. I will add that break-in seemed to improve things only a bit.

Best speakers I have tried so far. I replaced my B&W 607 for these in the living room and I have no regrets. I even prefer them to the KEF R3 because of their better high-end clarity. At first the low-end wasnt much to write home about but it develops over time. They definitely have a break in period before they sound their best, so make sure you dont return them right away if you think they are lacking. Id say these compete with the Klipsch RP600M MK2 for a much cheaper price.

I did lots of reading on a variety of bookshelf speakers & even did some real world listening to the few I narrowed it down to. These are by far the best for my listening ear. The sound stage is detailed & when I listened to vocalists it came close with eyes closed to feel they were in my living room. Even only as a two way speaker the range from high to low is great. One example is that when I listened to the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack all of a sudden when the Koto drums were playing it felt like a window was open with a breeze blowing on me. It was the two ports at the bottom of the speakers move lots of air on me from more than 10 ft. away. I was thinking of buying a subwoofer but these speakers have such a powerful bass I dont need one. I did get a good price on Amazon resell but after my experience I think they are worth the normal retail price. I cant recommend them enough!

Received these yesterday... WOW !! these speakers sound great right out of the box. Much clearer with greater drive than the Elacs I purchased last year. Found these on sale for $ 350 during Christmas Holiday. Man Im so happy I did. Easily worth the full list price .

I bought the Triangle BR03s from another site which sell these at a big discount pretty regularly hoping to feed my newly found craze for budget audiophile gear. Prior to this, I had been largely content with my DefTech SM 450s and SM 55 in my home theater setup. Recently, I had starting upgrading my home theater system piecemeal with Polk LSiM 702 surrounds, Klipsch RP-280FA for Fronts, 450C for Center, R-41M for middle heights as they became available on sale and finally 2 x SVS PB-1000 Pros for subs. I then started looking for something hi-fi for my office den for listening to stereo music when I came across these as highly recommend and bought this. They definitely deserve the high praise in terms of fidelity, but I often found the sound too thin and fatiguing with different amps, the best of which I have is the 100w Class A/B Dayton Audio HTA100BT tube amp which already was toning the speaker down. I had originally been a bit disappointed with the Polk LSiM 702 as I barely had any juice on my Denon X3200W to drive them, but they started to shine really well as I got better external amps to drive them and they turned out to be just as high fidelity as the BR03 but without the fatigue and a punchier bass. I soon swapped my BR03 with the Polks with the former now relegated to surround duty. Given my experience above, I would say that if you are looking for non-fatiguing high fidelity speakers for smallish areas, I would definitely recommend going with the Polk Reserve series (R200 in particular as the successor to the LSiM series) and you should not be disappointed regardless of the room size. I say this as someone who absolutely loves the Klipshs brightness and clarity for movies, but not for music.

Ive been listening to the same speakers (Paradigm Mini Monitor MK2s) for about 20 years. They were a terrific value when I bought them and I have appreciated their sound quality since. However, this past year I decided to upgrade my old HK receiver and Phillips turntable to more current equipment. The last piece of the puzzle were speakers although I was pretty happy with the Paradigms. I decided to try and address the two criticisms I had of them- slightly edgy highs and slightly quiet mids. After a ton of research online I narrowed my choice down to the Triangles vs. The Elac Uni-fi UB52. Then I searched for every YouTube video on both of them. What I heard from sound samples was that the Elacs had a distinctly metallic sound to them. This might be due to their aluminum drivers, not sure. I finally settled on the Triangles and was ready to order. I have been a happy camper ever since. These are definitely an improvement on the Paradigms. Great bass, smoother but well defined highs and nice forward mids for great vocals and instruments. The icing on the cake is that I searched around and found a Black Friday sale for $349! (Sorry Amazon). You WILL love these even at full price.

A bookshelf design to be placed on a dedicated stand (S02 or S04), the Borea BR03 is equipped with a 25mm EFS silk dome tweeter and a 16cm midrange/bass driver. The untreated cellulose paper membrane, developed for the Esprit Ez series, confers a natural sound with no coloration. The vocal range keeps all its intensity and the low frequencies their usual dynamism without ever generating listening fatigue.

Powerful Performance

This size is especially recommended for dedicated listeners looking for the performance of a floorstander in a compact design. From the very first notes, the BR03 impresses with its energy, delivery of deep notes, and power handling. This speaker will fit perfectly in rooms ranging from 15 to 30m2.
