TurboTax Home & Business Federal + e-File + State 2010 - [Old Version]

Not only did I save money by doing my own taxes, I saved money by buying this software at Amazon.com. Walmart wanted $20 more than amazon. I just wish I had found this out years ago. I have always bought my tax software at a walmart store and paid too much. Turbotax is so easy to use. Just answer the questions, the same questions your tax professional asks. Its that easy.

I purchased TT 2010, cheap, in late 2012 and entered my accountant generated data, for a test of TT against my accountant. Turbo Tax came out with the same tax, which was the upside. The downside was, I qualified for two credits that TT would not allow, I put them elsewhere, just for test purposes, but TT would not allow the override of those fields. If this had not been a test, TT would have caused me more tax. I will be trying this again with 2011 tax year returns.

I have been using TurboTax for several years and would not attempt to prepare my taxes without it now. I dont know how much money it has saved me, but it has saved my sanity and an untold amount of my valuable time. I will continue to buy and use TurboTax. Amazon, as always, filled my order as if I was their most important customer.

I needed a past years tax software to help with a clients missed return. Glad to find this one online at a cheap price

In past years Turbo Tax was tedious, because the wizard process requires repetition of like 10 questions to revise a single entry, but otherwise smooth. This year, however, there are lots of annoying glitches. My version on Windows 7 crashed about 10 times as I was doing my returns, so if you use this I would suggest saving frequently. Also, there seem to be too many bugs this far into in the tax season. For example, a figure entered in the wizard incorrectly appears as 0 (zero) in the income summary page, but is reflected correctly on the (printed) forms. After dealing with all the crashes and bugs, I wasnt able to e-file due to the following error. There is an update available for your version of Turbo Tax. Before you can file electronically, youll need to get this update. To do this, go to the Online menu and select Check for Updates. However, when I check for updates the Updater says, Your software is up to date. There are lots of questions about this on the TT Live Community, so I dont think it was specific to my situation. I suspect they will resolve it before April, but it seems like they should test their products more thoroughly before shipping them out.

This program is easy to use. I needed it to walk me step by step as this was my first time starting a small business. Awesome!

Once again, Turbotax has escorted me through the horribleterribleawful maze of filing Federal Income Tax. After ten years of experience with the software I feel it continues to improve and provide value. I have confidence that things are done correctly. Now, if it could prevent my harddrive from crashing, it would be the best ever.

Use for taxs

I cannot believe that I purchased TurboTax Home & Business and it is totally useless. First of all, when installing it went through a plethora of updates. Each time it attempted an update, the program crashed. I was able to overcome this by not clicking on the OK button and letting the updates run, in spite of the program asking for validation of the update installs. Once the updates were seemingly complete, the program froze and required a hard reset to return to a condition in which it allowed me to startup. I then spent over an hour entering my data from W-2, 1099s, deductions, etc., and then the Save option was grayed out. HOW CAN INTUIT ALLOW SUCH A PIECE OF GARBAGE TO BE RELEASED???!!! I have used TurboTax every year for the past 6 years. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is not just a matter of Quality Control problems, this borders on fraud! I am sure they were rushing to get this out and trying to hit certain revenue numbers, yadah, yadah, but if I were a shareholder of this company, I would hold the CEO to task on this one!! I am sending this back to Amazon for a refund and am going to find another way to do my taxes this year. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I use TurboTax. DO NOT BUY. And, Amazon, if you read these messages, you should send all of your inventory of TurboTax back to Intuit for a refund. I am surprised at you, Amazon Buyers. Dont you test products before you sell them????

I love Turbo Tax. I remember this one had a glitch that was pretty frustrating, but once I learned it was THEM & NOT ME, & they corrected it, all was fine! The next yr I forgot that I got this on Amazon & bought it from Turbo Tax for about $25 more. Still had a gllitch, but now I know that just happens & its TT no matter where you get it! Just cost more from TT. I plan to get it from Amazon next time!
