> 24 hourEasy to install on my Ender3, and it makes it much easier to maintain proper y-axis belt tension by allowing me to use the screw to tighten or loosen the belt. The entire replacement process took around 5 minutes and print results are just as good as before. Yes, you can print your own parts, but this one is made with metal so you dont have to worry about subjecting the part to too much tension. Affordable and easy upgrade to the stock y-axis belt tensioner.

> 24 hourI have a Ender 3 Pro and the bed carriage crashes into this tensioner. <--READ UPDATE! UPDATE 9/28/21 : If you use Bigtreetechs firmware for the SKR Mini/TFT35 they change the default bed size to 235x235 instead of the default 220x220 and this will cause the pom wheels on the Y axis to hit this tensioner. To fix this change it back to 220x220!

> 24 hourIf the carriage inside width was just smidge wider the problem I experienced could be avoided, and this thing could be hacked to use the original bearings in the Creality tensioner mechanism. For me, the pulley itself is rubbing on the tension carriage adding dragging and screeching. If the part were better designed, they could give some relief to hold the center of the bearing in place yet leave clearance for the pulley. Or the whole center part of the carriage could be made wider and some thing washers inserted to create the clearance. And this should really be using a shoulder bolt instead of a fully threaded M5 part so the bearings are riding on a shaft instead of undersized thread.

> 24 hourI had a belt starting to sag a bit so I decided to pick one of these up and its went right one easy and has made keeping the belts tight SOOO much easier.

> 24 hourThe biggest problem I have with this tensioner is the poor quality idler. I mounted this on one of my ender 3 pros to test it out and it had a pretty severe wobble on the pully. The unit is easy enough to take apart so the pully could likely be replaces, however... The Y tensioner I received is not designed well for the Ender 3 Pro. Because it mounts to the upper part of the extrusion, instead of the lower like the stock and other y tensioners, it causes you to lose some travel on the Y axis. This is just poor quality and design, look elsewhere.

> 24 hourI bought an Anycubic Chiron and was stunned that it does not have axis tensioners on the belts. My X axis out of the box was so loose that it would not even hold steps at all. I broke the zip ties and closed the belt one tooth length, and that helped but still wasn’t enough, there was a lot of backlash in the X axis moves. Then, went another tooth and while that was a lot better still, it wasn’t right. Then I bought and installed this tensioner and it bolted right up the the Chiron. The only modification I had to do is the Chiron uses one of the bolts from the old pulley wheel mount as it’s X-axis homing stop, and this does not accommodate for that. I originally tried just putting in a longer bolt so that it would still work almost as factory, but the bolt was too far left from where the factory X home stop is and so the carriage hit the upright before hitting the stop. So to get the homing stop location back you need to add another bolt to the aluminum extrusion next to this tensioner but that is easy to do.

> 24 hourThis is the second one that I have purchased. Work great and you can adjust on the fly. When installing you can take the item apart and install it without messing with the belts. Happy!!! Thanks

> 24 hourThis a solid unit already assembled ready to go! this took less than 10 minutes to install. Would have been faster but I took my time to get the correct tension with the knob. So easy ( Just 2 included hex screws NOT phillips yayy and 2 tension nuts) I am going right now to purchase 2 more for my other two Ender3 Pros. Thanks UniTak3D for a Great product and super fast Amazon shipping!

> 24 hourIts a great pre-assembled compact and sturdy little product. I know these can be 3d printed, however; I had been having issues with the belt tensioning leaving me unable to print the parts I needed. It even fits the y axis of the ender 5 plus as well as the x axis!

> 24 hourUniTak3D Upgrade Y-axis Belt Tensioner for Ender 3 3D Printer 4020 Aluminum Profile Our Ender 3 really should have just come with this. The stock tensioner is just sad and imprecise. Belt tensions is one of those tuning items that well all need to do, and repeat as the belts age. Installing this was pretty easy. I did it a little differently than normal I didnt want to bother with detaching the belt. When I got the old adjuster off, I had to take off the large bolt with the pulley on it. Not a big deal. I did the same attaching the new one. I took the bolt out, so I could put the pulley behind the belt. When youre setting it up, you have to do some alignments. You want the belt to be traveling down the center of the beam, not on either side. If it goes to the side, its going to cut the belt, and then youll be replacing the whole belt. Its just a matter of loosening the screws on one side, and pulling it left, right, up, or down, as appropriate. Its not a big deal, and something youd have to do with any of them. There is one thing I dont like. The quality of the pulley. The stock one was much nicer quality, and didnt have the grooves. We dont need grooves on the idler, just on the drive pulley. Unfortunately, the stock pulley wont fit into this new tensioner. Im not sure that it enough to lower the score. Lets call it a 4.5 instead of a 5, but Amazon doesnt allow for that kind of granularity. If the manufacturer is reading this, please put a better pulley on there. Someone else may reduce their review score because of it.
