Im still using this sponge filter for over a year now and it is still doing the job perfectly! I use it in a 20g fry tank along with a hang on back filter. The tank is over stocked and very crowded with huge number of Cichlids fry 1/2-2 however, the water is crystal clear. It is heavy and stays in the bottom of the tank. I clean it every other water change by squeezing it in a bucket filled with the tank water to keep the beneficial bacteria.

Bigger than expected and really good

I had a canister filter that leaked, so I decided to get the sponge filter with a hang on the back for my 38 gal bow front. I am very happy with this sponge filter it is super easy to set up and not as noisy as I expected. Great inexpensive product

I bought a fluval canister 306 for my shrimp tank and the tube was just a little to small on my fluval so I bought o rings 3/32 and stacked them. Now it fits snug and perfect.

Not sure how i feel about it fully. Ive had it in my 55g tank for 36hrs and its barely sucked anything up to it. I bought a different brand for my 10g and its working like a charm. Had to buy a pressure control knob for the bubbler line because there was to much aggregation at the top of the water level

Ok but you need some good air pressure for them to work decent.

Best sponge Ive used, it is huge but i use it along with a canister on my 40 and Ive had amazing results.
