> 3 dayI can only assume that its working well, it has lots of bubbles coming out so I guess its doing its job. Ive never used one of these before, but it almost seems too simple to work! I have a hang on back filter as well, so this is just meant to help out. So far I am pleased.

> 3 dayMuch larger than I was expecting, which in the end is great! Very happy with the product. Surprised how under-rated this type of filtration is for aquariums. Performs soooo much better than HOB filters and is perfect for smaller tanks where you dont need a canister filter. Sure it takes a larger portion of the tank up but my fish and shrimp do much better with a number of available microorganisms that these foam filters make a great home for.

> 3 dayThis sponge filter works great, but the biggest complaint i have is attempting to clean it. This filter does not accept a standard aerator stone to create suction, it has it’s own. This is the issue. It’s far easier to just pull up the air line and air stone from a standard sponge filter and then pick up the filter for cleaning, with no stop to aeration.

> 3 dayThese sponges are great. A little larger than we thought but they really help keep the aquarium water clean and clear. Sponges product an adequate amount of bubbles for surface movement. Recommend customer purchase these as you can also buy replacement sponges when needed. This was important when I was searching for sponge filters Great buy

> 3 dayI installed this, powered by a 40 gallon Whisper pump, into a 10 gallon planted aquarium with goldfish fry about a week ago. So far, it is working very well and I am slowly removing the current HOB filter media as the bacteria colony populates the foam. The fry seem to congregate around the filter to eat the detritus that is collected on the surface. I will be sure to purchase this filter again for my larger aquarium.

Greater than one weekDoes exactly what it needs to do. I have no complaints at all. I modified it to fit an air stone and BOOM, new kind of filter.. Ordering more as needed.

Greater than one weekListen. I realize sponge filters are simple and probably some of the best filtration out there, but this isnt a 40 gal sponge filter. Maybe 50-55 gallons, but definitely not 30-40 gal. Either the seller needs to figure out a better way to determine size or they need to clarify just how LARGE the large filter is.
