> 3 dayThis solder sucker is great! Despite what it says, the tip can handle temperatures above 350 degrees C. Easy to clean, just unscrew from the top to clean it out. Never clogs and is a great time saver.

> 3 dayBought this when my ancient radio shack solder sucker broke at last (you know the one, blue and yellow plastic). Wow! This thing is worth the extra money! Compact and solid, tons of suction, no flimsy plastic parts. I expect this will last me the rest of my life.

> 3 dayWhen I started with electronics 20 years ago in an underfunded high school class, desoldering was a huge pain. We either had the rubber bulb solder suckers or wick. Neither did the job particularly well or were very easy to use. Now as an adult hobbyist I came looking for something better to replace the same old junky rubber bulb I had used for so long - I cannot believe I waited so long. This pen style sucker is so quick and easy it will end up saving you time and frustration. No more hulking off mostly unsoldered pieces and breaking a trace. No more squeezing the little bulb frantically trying to get enough suction. No more wasteful wick that is sometimes unruly and ineffective. Metal construction, replaceable tip, one handed operation. It actually works! What more could I ask for?

> 3 dayI was tired of those cheap plastic and metal solder suckers failing on me, usually by going off at the most inopportune time. After reading other reviews I went for the Vampire VT-001-SS and go glad I did. It made my unsoldering jobs so much easier. The main difference is the silicone nozzle that fits nicely around the components and sucks everything up in one go. I had no idea that itd be so easy to get a nice, clean solder removal. How this would work for a professional, I have no idea, but for a hobbyist like myself, this was just perfect and highly recommend.

Greater than one weekI saw this kind of solder sucker a few times and though hey thats a great idea, it looks way better than those 30 year old blue RS ones. so I bought one. it was bad. bad bad bad so bad. the plunger would jam every single pump. the end went flying. I threw it away. I then saw this one. It looked a bit different. so did some research on the company. turns out they make legit tools. This was enough to convince me to actually throw down money again on this kind of product. This is the one. it works INCREDIBLY well. fits nicely in your hand. The others were way larger and more cumbersome. Suction is extremely powerful and cleans most holes in one shot. In fact it can pull so much solder in one shot that cooled bits will likely pop back out when you go to reload so make sure to do it over a bowl/cup. Its easily reloadable and triggerable with one hand, not having to contort your hand in extreme ways to do it. It even comes with a couple inches of extra replacement tubing you can cut as needed. It also hasnt jammed on me once. 5/5 across the board. this works exactly like you would expect and is well worth the money. recommending this to other EE friends.

Greater than one weekJapanese made to higher precision and quality than similar no-name tools made in China. This little sucker (pun intended) does an amazing job for its size, and the replaceable high temperature silicone tip does indeed stand up to direct contact with a hot soldering iron, unlike the many plastic solder suckers I was using before. I mostly work on older, hand wired tube radios and such, work that is very similar to working on tube guitar amps and other hand wired electronics. I have also used it on some solid state electronics, and it handles circuit boards well also. Dont forget to get the pack of spare tip material when you order!
