> 3 dayI was tired of those cheap plastic and metal solder suckers failing on me, usually by going off at the most inopportune time. After reading other reviews I went for the Vampire VT-001-SS and go glad I did. It made my unsoldering jobs so much easier. The main difference is the silicone nozzle that fits nicely around the components and sucks everything up in one go. I had no idea that itd be so easy to get a nice, clean solder removal. How this would work for a professional, I have no idea, but for a hobbyist like myself, this was just perfect and highly recommend.

Greater than one weekThe size is perfect. I am a female in the electronic business for 25 years. This is small and has powerful suction. I’ve used many more expensive but this ones the best

> 3 dayIf you really want the most from this machine use it a bunch. Just like learning to solder very well in takes some time. Buy some good solder wick with this purchase. You will pull so much solder that you may have to heat the end and use both thumbs to expel the solder in the sucker. Start sucking!

> 3 dayI loved my 1st one was so much I was pretty disappointed not getting it to work after my 2nd cleaning, but I chalked it up as taking a loss and to be more careful. Received the 2nd one and it is a piece of junk that will not suck anything right out of the package. I am done buying these. $60 is way too much to spend on 2 crappy tools that dont work.

> 3 dayThese look nice, I thought the price would validate by way of quality and it did not. I bought two and both have failed miserably in a short time. After a lengthy disassembly and repair they still didnt last but a few pumps and then jammed all over again. I waited too long to return mine so Im out 60 bucks - thats my fault. I bought 5 of the blue and silver cheap ones for less than one I.S.S. SS-02 and theyre still going strong after 2 yrs of regular use. They have never failed even once. The Igineer Solder Sucker SS-02 performed excellent the few times it actually worked, I was impressed at first, Then it became a source of frustration. I wish I had given more attention to the lower reviews that were very specific about the issues rather than saying how great it was. Like the clogging, solder sticking to the inside of the nozzle end, slippery, the barrels inability to handle the flakes inside, the cleaning, how high maintenance they are and still fail. Getting two bad ones cant be coincidence to me. Im a professional business owner and soldering electronics is part of my service. Hopefully theyll address the issue and fix the defects. When they do, Ill give them another try but not until then. Maybe youll have better luck than I did. Take care and I hope this helps.

> 3 dayThis bad boy is easily the best solder sucker I have ever used. Ive used it to desplder keyboards. The desolder action is easy to perform and makes a giant task like 104 switches seem like a breeze. If youre not planning on buying a desoldering gun, get this instead.

> 3 dayWas told by many people that this was the solder sucker to buy over all others. It does not disappoint. If you have larger hands it can be a little bit of a learning curve because it is much smaller than most suckers.

> 3 dayThis solder sucker is great! Despite what it says, the tip can handle temperatures above 350 degrees C. Easy to clean, just unscrew from the top to clean it out. Never clogs and is a great time saver.
