> 3 dayIve used all sorts of different solder suckers, and this has been undoubtedly the best yet. I have a BK-3000 solder sucker (eclectronic, probably $200) that I bought thinking Id need one - but turned out to be a pain in the butt as every ten or so operations I had to stop everything and clean the gun out taking me fifteen minutes or so. Thats one reason I prefer the manual method, but the primary reason is this unit isnt high suction which can pull off pads or traces or through-holes. The included silicon tip (high temp artificial rubber?) allows me to get right on top of the through-hole to make pads clean through again. Be aware, though - youll want to buy more of that silicon tip material. I have about 20 feet of it because even after cleaning, after some time of use, a 600 degree+ soldering iron will break this down.

> 3 dayI solder at work nearly every day. I enjoy soldering and decided to try and up my game when it came to being able to replace parts that had either been put on improperly or failed. First, the thing seems to be made for a childs hand. My hand basically covers the entire tool. On top of that, I just dont find it as good at suction as the hard tip de-soldering tools. Even when pressing very firmly on the surface and getting full coverage, there would still be ample amounts of solder left going through and making contact with the top side of soldering surfaces. If you have a hard tip de-soldering tool, simply make a notch for your soldering iron so that the tool can create a fully closed contact around the soldering joint. This method works far better than this tool. Sad to say I will be returning this one. ***EDIT*** I adjusted it to 3 stars, as I do believe that it feels like and is built out of good sturdy materials. The tool works decent around smaller pins with enough pressure applied, but larger pins was nearly useless. I can at least see situational moments where I could make use of this tool, so I will most likely just keep it.

20-11-2024The size is perfect. I am a female in the electronic business for 25 years. This is small and has powerful suction. I’ve used many more expensive but this ones the best

> 3 dayThis thing feels solid, it has great suction, the silicone tip forms well around the solder joint, and basically its pretty awesome. I had an old radio shack solder sucker that had some stiff white nozzle that made it hard to get a good seal. Lost it somewhere while moving. Got a free one with a solder station I bought. Build quality was absolute garbage, it felt like a 25 cent giveaway at a convention. Had to buy a new one. Couldnt be happier and worth every penny.

> 3 dayI cannot believe the difference in quality this solder sucker is from the other two that I have. Dont think Ill ever buy any other besides this from now on. Its got some serious suction and makes desoldering way way easier.

> 3 dayI saw this kind of solder sucker a few times and though hey thats a great idea, it looks way better than those 30 year old blue RS ones. so I bought one. it was bad. bad bad bad so bad. the plunger would jam every single pump. the end went flying. I threw it away. I then saw this one. It looked a bit different. so did some research on the company. turns out they make legit tools. This was enough to convince me to actually throw down money again on this kind of product. This is the one. it works INCREDIBLY well. fits nicely in your hand. The others were way larger and more cumbersome. Suction is extremely powerful and cleans most holes in one shot. In fact it can pull so much solder in one shot that cooled bits will likely pop back out when you go to reload so make sure to do it over a bowl/cup. Its easily reloadable and triggerable with one hand, not having to contort your hand in extreme ways to do it. It even comes with a couple inches of extra replacement tubing you can cut as needed. It also hasnt jammed on me once. 5/5 across the board. this works exactly like you would expect and is well worth the money. recommending this to other EE friends.
