VEGAS Movie Studio 17

I have been a user of Vegas and Sound Forge since the product was launched - a long time ago. (I migrated from Adobe Premiere early on). My prior purchase via Amazon digital to this one was v12, and it was time to upgrade - unfortunately Vegas isnt Vegas anymore - the last real version of Vegas prior to Magix changing everything is v17. So I bought this via digital download. Unfortunately the only serial number that Amazon sent was for Sound Forge, not Studio. So I contacted Magix and got an email back contact Amazon, we wont help you anymore. Thankfully, I was able to get a helpful associate on chat to assist - but they could only refund the order. Thus, the digital download of this is fraudulent. IF you need Studio still, (and dont want to bang your head against the wall with something better like Lightworks or Resolve) - then find a BOX/Physical copy of the product. The product itself is still good (again, only up to V17), but you wont be able to install unless you have serial numbers....

Ive used Movie Studio various and never had any problem uploading or using. This time it has been the worst of the worst nightmares. After install when u try adding media it shuts down. I then bought another version and same thing. I tried free trial and it worked for a day then same thing. I tried uploading free trial again and same thing. Each time before I uploaded again I removed all other versions. Ive again tried to upload FROM SAME E MAIL and when I put in the serial number hat came with THE SAME E MAIL it is now no good. Ive tried to use my other Lap Top which has Movie Studio but now ity has an error code and wont work. Ive tried other movie editing software and Im so used to Vegas all others r difficult to learn. And SUPPORT? The worst of the worst. U will find only forums of what others have said they had problems with. No Fixes. U cant even chat. It takes days for a response which is useless. Im still trying because Im used to using it but I would not advise anyone to buy it now. Apparently theres a glitch that cant be fixed. Ive 160 videos on my You Tube channel and all edited with Movie Studio.

Dont buy it is a scam

My son loves it. He produces music and shoots videos. Need help, YouTube and SoundCloud hes ezmoneyondatrack.

VEGAS Movie Studio, I had version 12. It wouldnt work on my new Windows 11 computer. This box version 17 was selling at a discount, so I gave it a try. At first neither version was working unless the disable full screen optimizations box was checked on the windows shortcut. About a week after I installed this, AMD released a new video driver for the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Radeon Graphics. Now both versions (12 &17) work as expected. I think the reasons why this product is not rated higher, is because of hardware, driver compatibly. The box version came with key codes for Movie studio and DVD architect. About every three days a message pops up to upgrade to newer versions of different variations of Magix software. BE WARNED, not all offers are for this Vegas product, newer versions of movie studio are some other form of software from Magix. The last upgrade offer they sent was for Vegas Edit 19, for $49. That is a great deal, and it has the same user interface as VEGAS Movie Studio 17. I would have taken that deal, but Radeon Graphics do not meet the system requirements of Vegas Edit 19. Overall, I like the Vegas product line.

The previous verison is a lot better Ive submitted Tech Support many times and no response.

I still haven’t been able to use the software because it keeps saying that the serial number is invalid. I filled out a tech request to try and get this solved and still haven’t heard back from anyone
