Victorinox 12 Inch Fibrox Pro Slicing Knife with Granton Blade

Slices meats, angel food cake, effortlessly !! GREAT knife!

I love this knife so much that I bought one for my best friend for Christmas this year. Being so long, its great for chopping nuts because it fits all the way across the nuts as they expand during chopping. Great for melons and large squashes. Cutting fudge, brownies, cakes, etc. is easy. My only complaint is that the knifes handle grip is slightly taller than the knife blade, so the handle hits the cutting surface and suspends the handle end of the knife blade a tiny bit above the cutting surface. The blade should be a little deeper than the handle, not vice-versa. But the blade length is special and very, very useful. It more than offsets the small flaw in the handle height.

I use this knife primarily for slicing brisket, although it’s great for carving any meat. It is inexpensive, but I don’t think you can get a better knife for this application at any price. Proof that more money doesn’t necessarily equal a better product. I highly recommend it.

High quality, very sharp! Makes slicing meat easy! I highly recommend getting a blade protector for it. Learned that the hard way. Lol.

This knife is EXTREMELY sharp right out of the box--be careful! The length is perfect for what I purchased it for, cutting large turkeys or other meats. It has a nice heft to it, but is not too heavy for easy use. Highly recommended.

I own many Victorinox knives and accessories and cant say enough good things about them! This particular one is great for cutting large food items, like watermelon or cabbage.

Takes and holds a remarkable sharp edge. Slices any meat I have tried it on, cuts bread cleanly, is well balanced, handle is comfortable and easy to grip, ... I could go on and on. Its shape makes it a knife exclusively for slicing, but it is the best knife I have ever used for that job. It is worth every penny and more.

Extremely sharp and very easy to control well. I make a lot of tri-tip and this is perfect for slicing through it. Ive not had to sharpen it yet so I cant speak to that, but all in all I am very happen with the blade.

This 12 knife arrived at the same speed as all my other Prime deliveries. About the Knife? I LOVE IT!!!!! The 12 is actually quite long, but it was exactly what I needed it for. I can be a bit frugal at times so when I can get a deal on large cuts of meat I buy it and cut it into the individual cuts I want. With the size, sturdiness and absolute sharpness of this knife, this had to be the fastest Ive ever gotten this job completed, thats with about double the meat I usually cut up at a single go. The handle is also truly non-slip. With the big job I just completed, not once did I think about knife slippage until just now. Trust me you will love this knife. however if youre going to use it just for carving your prime ribs or turkeys at home I may suggest the 10 for you.
