Vortex Optics Diamondback HD Binoculars 10x42

Fake name real review
> 3 dayVortex makes decent stuff. But what really makes them stand above the competition is their vip warranty. I have a lot of their optics and a few binoculars from them. I cant say that I think the glass on the 8x28 is better than the 12x50 crossfire hd binos or my 10x42 Diamondbacks. They have bigger objectives and therefore pull in more light and give a better image, despite being a lower quality model. The 8x28 are small, light, and easy to pack on a hike. Im glad I bought them.

> 3 dayUsed these binos for 12yrs+ as a professional guide (big-game in western high deserts). Theyre good enough for use as a daily-driver for a guide glassing big-game in big country and the glass is as good if not better than anything else at twice the price. Vortex has always gone above and beyond to repair or replace my binos regardless of how rough I am on my equipment. After over a decade of experience as an owner of this product, Vortex has earned my loyalty and Ill never buy glass from anyone else. That said, i did upgrade to a pair of Vortex Fury 5000HDs but, my 12x50 Diamondbacks are still my backups or what I loan to clients that have trash glass.

> 3 dayWe found ourselves on a birding trip and one of us forgot binos. So we stopped and bought a new pair from a sporting store. Compared to the top of the line vortex vipers from 3 years ago they are

> 3 dayExcellent build quality and great optics especially at this price. Focus dial has the perfect resistance for one handed use; Obtaining focus is precise and quick. The perfect companion on hikes. Every bit as effective as the bigger Diamondback HDs. I would say less color fringing than the larger objective lens models which is always a positive. Much smaller than the 10x42 shown. One of my favorite binos in my arsenal. The body feels good in hand and FOV is good. Image brightness is surprisingly above average given the objective lens diameter.

> 3 dayGreat Binoculars, the image is definitely fantastic. The case it comes with for my needs is useless, I dont want to wear the case on my chest, I want one you could carry or have just a strap. This one should be an option to buy. Now I have to spend more money to buy a regular case to put them in.

> 3 dayVery early impressions -- I just received these binoculars. I will use them for birding, of course. They have an excellent sharp image. But I also need them for studying bugs and the stated spec of 5-foot closest focusing made them very desirable. Unfortunately, they dont seen to focus that close, possibly 7 feet. When studying bugs (odonatess, butterflies etc) this makes quite a difference. Im disappointed that they dont do what the manufacturer specifications say.
