The cameras do have to be constantly plugged in order for them to turn on. The battery life on the viewing device lasts so long the picture quality is amazing not only in the day time but at night. I love that there are two cameras so I have one on my daughters crib and the other in her play area and the viewing device has a setting to watch both cameras at the same time. Very convenient for if you have multiple children in different places of your home.

It’s a decent camera. Does what it needs to but the parent unit is so annoying in that it constantly falls over!! The base is pathetic. The lowest dimness is also pretty bright so I find I have to toss a napkin over it at night

I like the camera and picture quality. I purchased for child’s room to monitor independent play. There is a red line that goes across the center of the screen on the monitor. The line is more annoying than anything, but overall the system works great.

This product would have been just fine if not for 2 super annoying features. Annoying feature #1: Sound doesn’t mute. On the parent unit it allows you to turn the volume all the way down to mute but then turns back on maybe 5 seconds later. Annoying feature #2: Bright light on child unit. Since the parent unit doesn’t mute, I turn it off when not in use (aka when I get into bed, right next to the crib or when I have to resettle baby back to bed - no point in having the whole house hear me struggle to do this). But when the parent unit is off, the child unit blinks a bright green light. What is the point of this? To let the baby know that I’m no longer watching? Eye roll. Of course I could just turn off the child unit but I’d rather not risk fumbling with it while the baby is sleeping. I’ve tried to cover the light with FIVE layers of electrical tape but the light still finds its way through some part of the unit. Blah. Likely returning. UPDATE: finally decided to return this. I tried to make it work but I just found more and more annoying things over time. I ended up covering the flashing light by wrapping a fabric headband around it. I thought that would ease my annoyance, which it did for a while. But then, one day while doing loud-ish chores I turned the volume on the baby unit all the way up. My baby woke up but I didn’t hear him cry until later because the unit automatically turned the volume down to level 1. So basically this monitor does not mute OR increase in volume. Maybe my unit was faulty, who knows. But this is def not worth $70! I switched to Eufy which was double the price but it’s already a million times better and functional!! TLDR; Don’t waste your time or money. This is so old school - it should not be on the market anymore.

So far, it does everything it claims in the add. The TALK feature is not as clear as I expected but it works. The sensitivity level is great. Once my daughter fusses, the response is instantaneous and we are alerted. As said, its worth the price. I have not had time to monitor the battery life though. Suggestion to manufacturer... the camera should have a back us battery so it can be used during power outages.

Had to buy a third party universal mount as it does not pan down far enough to use with the included mount. Probably just specific to our room layout. Aside from that, all the features work well.

We upgraded to this from a single stationary camera when we moved our baby crib into the same room with our toddler. Its great! I love that I can see both girls at the same time, and can pan around the room to observe more of whats going on. One comment I would make is that the parent unit is not a very stable thing. Our old one had a nice kickstand so when it was upright it stood very solid. This one does not have a kickstand, it just has a built-in sort of bulge on the bottom of the back, to hold it upright. So I cant lay it down flat on a table anywhere, and it gets knocked over easily. Other than that, we are very pleased with this product.

This monitor works great. We have the camera in the kids treehouse and the monitor in our home. I can see and hear clearly to assure safety. It also plays music and the camera can be moved by the monitor to see different directions. Furtherest distance is roughly 500 feet and no issues with transmission
