PERFECT product, just what we were looking for! Our gate was already an extended version but the walkway between the front and the back of the house was just a little bigger. We got by with an old plank of wood which unfortunately would stick and take the paint off our walls (as seen in the picture) to make it try and fit the space. The dogs would run into it or try to climb over the fence and it would slip and fall down and damage our walls. Cue these amazing little things! We were able to not only get rid of the mismatched plank of wood, but the gate is seriously sturdier than ever before and we don’t have to extend the screws out nearly as far. Didn’t even have to screw these extenders into the wall, they are wide enough that they distribute the pressure better than the wall damaging feet, and the rubber backs really are sticking well. Even took down the gate and no paint went with it, so I’m excited to actually touch up the wall now since it’ll stay. Great idea

I couldnt find a gate just large enough to block my hallway and everything else was entirely too big. I need just a couple more inches for the gate I bought to work so I decided to try this extending kit to save myself $100+ on a bigger gate. This worked great and the gaps on the side are not too big for my daughter to fit, she doesnt even pay attention to those gaps so thats great. It was a life saver getting these and I stronger suggest it if you just need a 2-3 inch gap filled.

Our wall has a trim which made our child gate a little short on one side. And this is what I needed! It’s sturdy with the rubber on the flat side to make it won’t slide on the wall!!

The wall nanny extenders filled the gap and made the baby gate very secure without damaging my woodwork.

These gate extenders are a very good idea, and nicely designed! Using all four extenders, we were able to mount the pet gate across a rather wide opening that was just a bit too long for the gate alone. However, the description of these Wall Nanny extenders is somewhat inaccurate; each extender will add only 2” to the coverage, not the 4” described! In other words to add the full 4”, you will need to use TWO Wall Nannies, not one. Also (and finally), although they come with a screw hole to attach it more permanently and securely, no screws to do do were sent in the package, and no written alert to let us know that was either possible or suggested! Add screws and instructions!

We have used tons of gates over the last 18 years for dogs and our little ones. We only recently discovered the wall nanny and it works great to help keep the gate stable and in place- wish we had found it years ago so we didn’t have to paint to cover marks from gates.

This product would have been helpful to have when our children were younger. We have damage to a wall from a previous gate. This product not only protects the walls, but it narrows the area up to 4 inches, so we were able to spend about $30-50 less on a gate. The only challenge was having to install it above the quarter-round on the floor, so you will need another adult to hold the gate and wall nanny while you secure everything.

I have 2 sets of these in use in my home. I love these, they work great. My doorways are bigger then the usual but not big enough to need the extention of the gate.. so where do you find yourself when trying to get them installed correctly? Then I discovered these and they work great.

I bought this product to use with the baby gate I installed to keep my new puppy from straying out of the rooms I want him in. I also bought the low-profile version of this product which is just as good and separately reviewed. The Wall Nanny provides much improved grip on my walls than the rubber pads that come with the baby gate plus are larger in order to spread the pressure load of the outward tension keeping the baby gate immovable so that my drywall is not damaged. Very easy to install and remove since no adhesive or screws into the drywall are required. A wonderful product for damage-free baby (dog) gate installation. Highly recommend!
