> 3 dayThese extenders were easy to use and stable. The problem is that the gate itself is meant to stand up to a human child, not a German Shepherd. I still think this is a good product but it would be nice if the extenders could screw into the wall. Perhaps they can, but screws were not included and I didn’t want to risk breaking the extenders. Overall a good product though and I’m happy with this purchase.

> 3 dayWe did not know these existed and are so grateful that they do. We had the gate for a year and found out that it did not fit so we put it aside and bought another one. I was looking on line for a third gate and found the extender so I bought them and tried them on the first gate and I could not believe they worked. Best purchase ever!!

> 3 dayI couldnt find a gate just large enough to block my hallway and everything else was entirely too big. I need just a couple more inches for the gate I bought to work so I decided to try this extending kit to save myself $100+ on a bigger gate. This worked great and the gaps on the side are not too big for my daughter to fit, she doesnt even pay attention to those gaps so thats great. It was a life saver getting these and I stronger suggest it if you just need a 2-3 inch gap filled.

Greater than one weekWe tried multiple baby gates that indicated they could extend to fit a stairwell opening from 36 inches to 43 inches. The problem was there was a dead zone at the 39.5-inch mark which was how wide our stairwell was going from the main living area to the basement. Adding one extension piece to the baby gate did not solve the problem because it was too narrow but then adding the second extension piece made the gate too wide....argh the frustration!! My brother-in-law saved me from buying a new baby gate by suggesting these simple extenders (that as a bonus also protect your walls and banisters). We added all four of these and then miraculously the baby gate fits perfectly!

> 3 dayI couldn’t find any extender panels for the baby gate I had. Saw this product and it did exactly what I needed it to, which was to make it sturdier against the wall so it wasn’t so easy to knock over. Pretty easy to install. Good little product

> 3 dayWe had a smooth wood passageway that our gate kept moving no matter how tight we made it. This instantly resolved the issue. We also used this on a wall papered wall and so far it had not damaged the paper and has not moved around.

> 3 dayYou need a lot more than two hands to make this fit; and it is even harder if you have baseboards or mouldings or anything like that that makes the doorway a different width at the bottom than at the top. That said, it is pretty sturdy and stable once you finally get it installed, and it is a great idea for solving the problem of protecting your walls... if you dont tear them up trying to get the darned thing installed.

18-11-2024These gate extenders are a very good idea, and nicely designed! Using all four extenders, we were able to mount the pet gate across a rather wide opening that was just a bit too long for the gate alone. However, the description of these Wall Nanny extenders is somewhat inaccurate; each extender will add only 2” to the coverage, not the 4” described! In other words to add the full 4”, you will need to use TWO Wall Nannies, not one. Also (and finally), although they come with a screw hole to attach it more permanently and securely, no screws to do do were sent in the package, and no written alert to let us know that was either possible or suggested! Add screws and instructions!
