Any external drive is going to be useful in speeding up the performance of your Xbox One (however slight), but the My Passport X has been specifically tailored to optimize load times of games and apps that get installed to it. Furthermore, loading them off of the My Passport X leaves more juice for the Xbox One to keep a grip on its 3 operating systems to run said games or apps.

Pros: easy to use and well handy especially if you are short in memory.

I figured gamers wouldnt put up with a drive that failed, so went with this as a back-up on my Mac. It was smaller than I anticipated - the physical size, not the capacity - but seems solidly built. I reformatted it with a disc utility and its been solid and quiet ever since. That was a couple months ago.

I use it with xbox one s. Set up was flawless. Make sure you reboot your xbox after you plug it in.

Works great installs easily and has upgraded the storage space for the XBox One. Very good stuff
