WD 4TB Gaming Drive works with Playstation 4 Portable External Hard Drive - WDBM1M0040BBK-WESN

Got it for the PS4 external storage (which is almost as easy as plug-and-play alone), ended up using it for my laptop & external photography & video backups. Its the perfect little drive. It doesnt come with a case so youll have to find a way to keep it relatively safe as well as near the data cable itself, but that doesnt affect the product itself, which is otherwise inherently flawless. It even looks good, albeit thats personal.

got it to expand my PS5 storage (PS4 games installs and PS5game storage). works flawlessly plug and play.

Ok, after formatting it works well. Not an IT guy so for me it works, trusted name, good price.

I got it for Christmas and its already messed up!

I wasnt sure which external hard drive to buy due to the formatting, is just not that computer savvy. I asked around and was pointed in the direction of this one which took less than 5 minutes for me to use with my PS4. It literally takes 3 steps (clicks) and voila No more deleting games. I now have 2T’s of paradise.

Easy to use

Installed on X-Box One....My 14 year old hooked it up, worked exactly as described. No complaints when he is playing online games.

Easy to install - simply attach USB cable to the PS4, go into settings, and format the drive. Then, set the default install location to this drive (rather than the system drive). Thats all - games are now installed directly to the drive, and there is no perceptible difference whether running the game from the internal storage or from this drive. I no longer have to worry about uninstalling games from my aging 500GB PS4!
