> 24 hourThe drive works properly and it performs well. Disappointed it isn’t a true 1024GB drive though. I was unable to use CloneZilla to clone the drive because my existing drive was 1024GB in size and the new WD is 1000gb in size. Seems like a small detail but in trying to resize my partitions to get it to fit ended up corrupting my source drive.

> 24 hourI have four of these now. The WD_BLACK dashboard is great to keep firmware updated and identify performance issues. I have had one for a year as my system drive with zero issues so I decided to go all m.2. These drives are in the Asus Hyper M.2 PCIe card and are working great.

> 24 hourEs PCI 4.0 para aprovechar la máxima velocidad debes tener componentes combatibles para aprovecharlo completo. Es genial

> 24 hourI needed something really fast on a budget, but I also needed at least 500gb of storage. I settled on this one and was not disappointed. It’s very fast and I will definitely buy another one for my next build

> 24 hourThe first thing I did was format and speed test in a Startech PCIE adapter. Got 3044MB/sec speed on a 64GB test file with CrystalDiskMark64 which is very fast! I need the speed for recording lossless video with a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K. The small random writes are a lot slower as you would expect without built in RAM cache

> 24 hourWhen I installed this, I booted machine and windows didn’t recognize it. I was utterly confused and didn’t know what to do. All the tutorials said to “update the drivers in device manager”. Eventually, I found a solution. You need to go to search, “partitions”, the first results should bring up a page where you can create a partition. Then boom, you have your ssd.

> 24 hourI use my PC for heavy software development and this is more than what I need in terms of performance. Its temperature rose only 2 degrees Celsius with heat sink installed when I back up the whole SSD to external hard disk. This is very good. The other Gen 3 SSD of recent model from a very popular Asian brand got 10 degrees hotter when I did the backup. Western Digital does know how to do the data storage right.

> 24 hourOne of the fastest consumer M.2 SSD’s with 1024GB of storage for $80?!! And yes, there is a difference in speed between this, and literally anything that uses SATA connections. I would take this over a 3TB Hard drive any day of the week.
