Only needs to be formatted, your Ps5 will walk you thru that with ease after installation and your Ps5 boots up. The actual speed of my SSD is 6353 MB/s after installation. I can live with that. The NVMe SSD is basically storage wired directly into the PCI bus . Its a very modern and fast PCI bus.NVME SSDs are way faster than serial bus-style drives like SCSI or SATA.Ps4 is SATA, The NVMe is not even comparable it is so much faster than Ps4 and I love my Ps4 dont get what Im saying wrong . We have much to look forward to and this new SSD can help get us there. This is so easy to install, comes with basic instructions as well. Don’t sweat it if you can’t do it or are worries YouTube does amazing things. I love how fast and how much space it comes with. I tested out this on the PS5 and it is smoother and slightly faster. I’m very happy with the results. I highly recommend!

This SSD is easy to install on the PS5 just simply unscrew it and put it in and boom. Its finally on the PS5 and then you close it back it up and then now you have a faster PS5. The SSD will load games way faster and will feel so immersive because of the quickess of the loading speeds. Loading screen will be almost non existent

Easy install great storage and makes installing faster

One of the most simplest things to ever do. push down then up on the ps5 cover, take out screw, put the drive in, put screw back and cover. All you have to do is turn on ps5 and itll prompt you to activate the drive. Thats all of 5 minutes. And the drive itself is super fast, all my games run smooth. Just make sure you go to settings and set all your downloaded games to the new drive itll save you alot of headaches.
