Quick and easy to install and set up. I’m glad I got it.

Placing the drive on a motherboard: ASUS Z690 Formula, it almost didnt fit into the PCI 4.0 slot because its case is bulkier and the motherboard screen, I had to slide it up to fit the drive.

I bought this M2 SSD (1TB SN850x) for my new PC build (specs below) and for my PS5. It is blazing fast. It reaches its advertised speeds. For my PC, it is used as my primary OS drive. This is a huge upgrade from my old M2 SSD on my previous PC (960 Samsung). All my files pop up instantly and programs run extremely smooth. On the PS5, games load and run like they are stored on the PS5 factory storage. Buy it now!! You will not regret it.

Easy to install and works great in PS5

Installation was needlessly frustrating because Western Digital didnt include the standardized 25 cent screw necessary to install the $400+tax drive! Because of that, a 5-minute install took me about an hour because I had to go to the hardware store and find the bits to make a 3-piece screw, then come back and spend 5 minutes installing it. The 3-piece screw was because my hardware store doesnt carry the standard M2 screw for motherboard installs, so I had to shorten and widen the only M2 screw they had with a nut and a washer.

It installed easily. In fact it took longer to get the face plate off than to install the drive. Formatted in about 1 minute, and now holds all of my games (20) and still have room on both drives. It’s a no brainer if your a PS5 owner.

It overheats and games freeze all the time on ps5.

Worth the money

Used in a ps5 to expand my storage. Works like a charm 2 weeks after install. Will update if it fails within a year.
