My new go to ascender

Took this out the other day to eat out some new saddle hunting equipment. Found this device very adequate to hold my 6 ft, 220lbs self in the tree very well. I even tried to get it to fail. No such luck. It held my weight very easily using a 10mm rope. Would recommend to everyone getting into any type of climbing.

I use 2 of these in my climbing system, they work great! Way better and faster than a prussic. At first, I did not trust these to support my weight, especially in a small fall. After some use, I now trust these ascenders on my 11mm predator rope each time I hunt. The teeth have not worn my rope yet after several months of use.

Very nice quality product. They cost a bit but they definitely are superb to using a prisik knot.

I own 2 of the OS Orange models for my saddle hunting tree tether and linesman rope. They are so much easy to adjust than using a prusik knot! I use 11mm kernmantle rope with it and I haven’t had any issues.

This makes adjusting the length of your lineman’s rope around the tree very easy with one hand. Don’t let the size of this product fool you, it is very sturdy and the rope doesn’t slip at all when it clamps down on it. I felt very safe when using it. I bought a second one immediately after trying out the first one I bought. LOVE IT!

Must have for saddle hunting. Do leave home with out it.
