Wild Country Ropeman 1 Ascender

Use this for my tether while in a tree saddle, can’t imagine using a prussic knot for that at this point. Will be getting another for my lineman’s rope.

Very creaky. Used in saddle hunting setup.

Im using this as a replacement prussic knot for my lineman belt on a Trophyline Tree Saddle. If you are buying this for hunting purposes, you will not be disappointed. I originally bought the Ropeman 2, but it didnt work for the lineman belt.

This is so worth the money if you are a hunter and are climbing with a linesman belt/rope. Prusik knots are very difficult to slide up the rope without using both hands, but this Ropeman is a breeze to operate one-handed. Makes a significant difference in the ease and speed of ascending and descending. It is also safer because you can hold the tree or steps with one hand while adjusting with the other hand, rather than having to use both hands to slide the prusik knot. This is one of those pieces of gear that is so cool you just smile when using it and wonder how you lived without it.

Have not got the rest of set-up so havent tried, but have seen them in action and should speed up learning curve.

Upgraded the prussick knot on my lineman belt and tether for my tree saddle with 2 of these. Literal game changer for climbing. I would recommend to anyone using a lineman belt to try one. No more needing 2 hands to move a knot or take up slack.

I use this for ascending and descending trees in the fall. These make prussic knots obsolete (although much cheaper). Im not super comfortable climbing trees, so I need every advantage I can get. This has been a game changer.

The Ropeman 1 is perfect for saddle hunting. Also much cheaper to buy on amazon then other places I have shopped.
