> 24 hourIve had this tube for <3 years and ever since Ive opened it it has a methylated moldy smell to it like very strong and its not just this particular tube of the Windsor Newton designer zinc white The tube that came in my mixing set has the same problem I have a tube of M Graham titanium permanent light that is probably close to 15 years old and it doesnt smell a bit where is these W&Ns I have are <3 years old and they stink to the point where I cant use them . And Of course I need white when Im using gouache So I guess Im using the 20 year old tube that didnt smell. other than the smell this stuff is great I dont know if I got a weird batch or something but It stinks so bad that Im just throwing it away.

> 24 hourI return this item and I never got my refund. So they took my money and they got their item back unopened. I returned it cuz it was too small the add says it’s a 20ml but it’s not.

> 24 hourThis product is a must if one paints watercolors with significant amounts of white or light colors and is not absolutely meticulous at masking. I would not have needed it very early in my watercolor sojourn because my paintings were simply not sophisticated enough to have required it, but in the intermediate stages of watercolor artistry (where I suppose Ill languish forever), it is nice to know that it can help rescue a painting, even though by my own admission, using gouache in a watercolor painting is technically cheating! I really love the effects I can get from this medium, and I have also mixed it with conventional watercolor pigments to get the same effects in color.

> 24 hourI use gouache along with watercolors, and I sometimes use white gouache to cover up already painted areas I dont like. This was my first time trying Winsor & Newton gouache. This gouache is creamy and spreads easily without needing to add a lot of water. It covers dry watercolor nicely, but is not completely opaque. The attached photo shows several thickly applied coats of white gouache over a very dark blue watercolor base. This white gouache can be mixed easily with different colors of watercolor to create interesting pastel shades, making it very versatile.

> 24 hourIgnore the swatch on the front. Its much darker. Which is how it should be.
