> 3 dayHave multiple WiOn plugs. Fantastic product until Apple upgraded operating system to IOS 16. None of our devices work and have been advised by representative of company that there is no intention to do so in the near future. So, beware if you plan on using an Apple device to operate these devices, they are not compatible with IOS 16. BUYER BEWARE.

> 3 daySimply doesn’t work to configure on newer phones. The WiFi hotspot it generates appears for a moment and then vanishes. The few times I caught it my iPhone refused to connect to it. I even reordered thinking the first one I got was a dud but the second has the same issue. The support number listed in this item rings to voice mail day and night. Also the item comes in alternate packaging, not the retail box shown here. It seems that wion went out of business and this is likely an attempt to sell old assets as new. Avoid. Second return, coming up.

> 3 dayWe purchased this product over 1 year ago. It all of sudden stopped working so we bought a replacement. It came in weird packaging, no real box and a stapled set of instructions. It looked used. It didnt work at all. We sent that one back and Amazon sent a new one. Same weird packaging and the thing looks used. I thought they sent us the same one again. This one does work so far. 3 stars is for price, wi-fi signal is okay as the thing is only like 30 feet away from the router. The packaging is ridiculous as there is no box or anything.

> 3 dayProduct is quality and works well when the Wi-Fi signal is able to be picked up. One is in the backyard and gets picked up find the one in the front yard is approximately 40 feet away with one wall in between it in the router and is having an issue sometimes getting signal.

> 3 dayThese were perfect additions to our connected home. We bought two and theyre used for Christmas lights each year. They are the furthest connected devices from our router and they still work perfectly every time. I just hope the stakes last. Its been two years since weve bought them so theyve only been put in the ground twice. Otherwise, the signal and functionality are great! The app is ok. Its great that these are Alexa enabled. We have them in a routine called Christmas Lights and everything just works.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my holiday lights in 2018. It has worked since then well and since I had different items to plug in and control the three outlets were convenient. In the summer I reprogram and use it for fountain lighting. Its simple to change the program. It would be nice if each outlet could be controlled separately, but at this price, one could purchase another unit if thats required. Its also nice to be able to turn it on and off with phone rather than unplugging and plugging in unit for testing or maintenance purposes. I do recall I did have difficultly setting it up for the first time and instructions were minimal. Once setup it made sense, but I hope I dont have to do it again.

> 3 dayI have just installed the WiOn outdoor Wi-Fi power stake and LOVE its functionality: my Android Smart Phone controls the outdoor lights reliably, and the app allows setting up an automated on-off schedule easily. The initial adding of the device to my home network however was a BEAR (and I have worked with computers for over 30 years and LOVE to play with technology). What I learned: 1) the included directions suggest using their scannable link to download the WiON app to my adroid phone which did not work (I went to Google Play and downloaded the WiON app manually); 2) you are instructed to choose the WiON stake from available devices on your SmartPhone WiFi settings BUT it is not made clear that what you are looking for is a device which begins with ECO- followed by a string of random numbers; 3) You are then told to select in the WiON app the router you wish to connect the power stake to which suggests a hardware name (each router does in fact have a hardware name) when what is meant is the network name (sometime called the SSID); 4)You are then told to enter information in the app (zip code, device name (the name you wish to associate with the power stake you are installing, for example Stake1), followed by the WiFi router password (which really means the network password of the SSID in step 3); 4) When done you select SAVE SETTINGS in the app but this option did not appear on the SmartPhone screen until I blanked out the keyboard used to enter zip code, etc. Having written instructions I know it is hard, but these instructions make the task seem impossible. It is not, but you have to be careful to say what you mean. Thanks for a great product (I hope); please improve documentation; and I have set a calendar reminder to update this on January 10 to see if I remain cautiously supportive.

16-11-2024Set up easily on my router using provided documentation. Easy programing with smart phone app. 1st season but, has worked perfect. Live in Michigan with a 1 of snow currently and so far have seen temps as low as 0*F and the unit is working perfectly. Now its just a mater of longevity, I expect many years of seasonal use and will update if that turns out to not be the case.
