Like that it was cheap. Ergo the problem with this: you get what you pay for in performance reliability & setup ease Used it to setup a temporarily a Wyze cam outdoors. 1st problem is that to catch a WiFi signal & config this thing took several tries. Not sure what the problem was since my WiFi network is strong & easy to acquire for most all other Wifi able products. Kinda just lucked onto my network after about 20 minutes... 2nd problem I noticed: if there is a power outage it will require a manual reboot. It will not come back on line by itself. 3rd item as every1 has mentioned: each input plug is not independent of each other ie you cannot control one without controlling the other. power on/off for BOTH at same time. All in all - I went cheap & got spotty performance & difficult setup. Hopefully, it will be a rarely used item that won;t forget its network configuration after inactivity (like used occasionally). I just cant recommend this thing if reliability is paramount & setup ease is an after thought.

UPDATE: 10/16/22: Had this product for years including multiple outdoor versions and although the app setup isn’t the most user friendly I managed. Now that my current IPhone has upgraded to IOS 16 recently the app no longer works which stinks as I mentioned these WION/Woods units control a bunch of stuff inside and outside my home! When I emailed customer support last month (Sept) they said Apple hasn’t released info to app developers so I am SOL. I have a few hundred dollars invested in their products and now I am not able to control the units or change the timing? I had the FEIT WiFi Bulbs in my two outdoor lamps and the FEIT app works fine! I ended up ordering a few of the FEIT outdoor outlets and they were a piece of cake to set up. I am now waiting for the FEIT indoor outlets to arrive so I can exchange the WION/Woods wifi outlets with the FEIT costing me another couple of hundred bucks! Thanks for nothing WION/Woods! I will definitely NOT be purchasing anything else by these companies! I have been using Eco WiFi Outlets for the last year and love them! App is excellent IMO and easy to set timers! I love the outdoor 2 outlet timers from Eco Plugs. They are hard to get ahold of and I found out recently they are now the Woods WiOn Company so I ordered this in the hope it would setup with my current EcoPlugs App and it does! I use it for my Christmas lights. Every so often I have an Eco Plug Outlet lose connection and I have to unplug and re-insert it into power and it usually reconnects easily. It doesn’t happen enough to be a pain in the a$$ yet and I truly enjoy the convenience of these WiFi outlets. I will be purchasing more of the Indoor ones from this manufacturer in the future.

If you have outdoor lights, this is a must have. Easy to set up, easy to control, simplifies turning off and on remote lights....especially if it is raining outside

I have it setup in my backyard and it worked fine, then one day, I had to unplug it to to move it somewhere else. As soon as I unplug it, and plug it back in, the wifi no longer works, so I cant even reprogram it anymore. Dont get me wrong, the outlet WORKS as intended when it worked, I guess I expected a better WIFI module in this since its plugged into the power. But this has one of the shortest range wifi I have seen. When it worked, my phone had to literally be right next to it to see the signal, and when it worked, the unit will not see my houses wifi network, and I have Google Wifi, the mesh network setup in my house. Anyway, the wifi no longer works, its nothing more than a surge proctector at this point, and since I have to manually either leave it ON all the time of turn it OFF all the time, it really beats the entire purpose of this thing being (outdoors) now. Not happy about that the wifi breaks within less than a years usage. And just incase someone is wondering, there was a insect zapping light plugged into it, and I had the timer setup to turn on and off 2 times in a day, thats all. Not happy, very not happy about this. And if anyone is also wondering, yes, I have tried multiple phones, multiple Android phones and multiple IPhones, and differerent version of iOS and Android, nothing, the wifi signal never shows up when I search for the wifi signal, as instructed that suppose begins with ECO-. And yes, I have tried restarting my phones and yes, I have tried unplugging the outlet for 30 seconds, hoping it will clear some kind of cache or something, nothing. Also, as soon as I unplug it, the programmed times are erased, thats where it rendered the thing into nothing but a regular surge protector, which I dont even know if it actually protect electrical surges.

Lets start with the app, or the lack of one that works. I opened this and followed the instructions. Nothing, I mean nothing would make the app to work. It would crash all the time or not find the router. Note I tried on 3 different android devices and 2 iPads. Eventually I gave up and found that theres another app (also horrible) called EcoSmart, but at least works. Ok, next big problem, I really thought you could independently control different outlets, this is my fault, but the description leads you to think in another way. Timer, or the lack of a timer to be more precise. So the timer of this unit seems to be located on the app software, that constantly crashes, so my lights are never turning on, unless I remember to open the app, which crashes, and reopen it. Whats the point of a timer if this keeps happening. Im returning this to amazon, avoid it if you can. A better choice: install a GE ZWave smart outlet and plug an external stake on it.

I purchased this to replace another device. I was under the impression that each outlet could be set differently (Time to turn on and off) When I set it up and downloaded the application for my phone, it was then that I realized that all the outlets work together instead of independently. I would not recommend this device unless it was to be used to turn everything on at once, as in Christmas Lights, Ornaments.

    Greater than one week

You need a good wifi router or extender to reach through walls and outside. If too far from your source it may not work. Mine does. Good luck..

I bought this for outdoor Christmas lights and I am very happy with the units capabilities. Programmable on/off times is handy, but I particularly love the ability to turn the unit on or off on demand from my iPhone.

We have all of our Christmas lights connected to one switch to make turning on and off easy, but this has to be turned on and off in addition to the switch, even though it is also connected. Also, the length of the cord is very short.

Easy to set up and connect to my Wifi network. Survived a couple rain showers with no issue. Easy to use app. Only sad thing this model does not support power usage information.
