> 24 hourThis product is great. Your child can not close the door. Unfortunately, the baby is used to closing the door and cried when they couldn’t. Hahaha!

> 24 hourOur kids arent quite old enough to be slamming doors yet but our oldest likes to close doors that shouldnt be closed and/or lock himself in rooms; these are a perfect fix for that. Our dog is not very happy when she cant get to her water because our son has closed the laundry room door. Likewise, our son isnt very happy when he finds himself shut in his bedroom or shut out of a room where his toys are. At the stage our kids are at, our main purpose for them is to simply keep doors from getting closed. These are such an easy on and off application too, very non-invasive. They hang perfectly over our doorknobs too so we put them there when they arent needed.

> 24 hourMy son was slamming doors closed left and right in our house. (He just likes a closed door, who knows why!) These hes able to close the door without any chance of hurting his fingers and also the door doesnt actually close so he doesnt lock himself in a room (hes not able to open doors yet). We keep them on the door handle of every door when we are not using them (especially the bathroom that we keep closed when not in use). I use them everyday and plan to get some from my moms house for when we visit.

> 24 hourUpdate: the company reached out after the initial review and sent a replacement for the 2 that broke, so I am revising my review to account for that and adding a star. Original review modified: I wanted to like these, I really did. We needed something to stop a child from slamming the door shut. These fit the bill. I liked how these are Made in USA by an American company. Unfortunately, 2 out of 4 broke within 2 months of regular use. It wasnt the slamming that did them in, but there isnt enough stretch in the foam so if one puts it on the door daily it develops a crack and then breaks. Maybe I had a defective pack? I contacted the company via their web form to let them know that there seems to be a defect in these. Its been a few weeks and never heard back. Not worth the effort to return as they were not expensive to begin with.

> 24 hourWe babysit our twin toddler grandchildren once a week. They are both starting to walk and are exploring everything. Shopping for lifes second child proofing cycle I spotted these foam rubber bumpers at a local big-box lumber/hardware store. I liked them so much I went back for more a couple of weeks later but they had disappeared from the shelves and with no apparent plan for restocking them. Shame! So I visited Walmart (they carried them but were out of stock) and several drug store chains. Nothing, so off to the web! I found these at Wittle through Amazon Smile, ordered them, and had them within 3 days. These are made of high-density rubber foam and slide over the end of the door with good grip on smooth paint or varnish. I believe they are closed cell as well which means they are probably washable and wont act like sponges in the unlikely event they get dirty. They provide a good one inch gap between the door and the jamb to protect those tiny fingers. You can locate then anywhere on the door edge and I would recommend mounting them above the toddlers reach. Check to make sure that older door doesnt flex enough to undo the protection if the Guard is installed higher! The Guards pull right off if you need to actually close a door and they are small enough not to take up much space on a shelf or countertop. I suppose we could take ours down weekly to allow them to recover shape, but most of them have been left up since we installed them with no problems. Those that are removed do return to their original shape, and I believe if they ever lost their grip it could be restored with some light sanding of the grip area. They are so simple, effective, and easy to use that I highly recommend them.

> 24 hourI wanted to wait a while before writing a review, but my initial reaction to these pinch guards hasnt changed in the several months since we started using them. These are the best! Such a simple concept and yet so very useful. I like that you can easily remove and reinstall in seconds - just pull it off the door and pop it back on. No pinched fingers, or accidental lock-ins, and theyve reduced the noise of toddler door slams to a dull thud. I can put these finger pinch guards up high enough on the doors that my toddler cant reach them and these are a much easier and cheaper option than replacing all of our locking bedroom and bathroom door knobs with non-locking ones.

> 24 hourThis was a simple fix to a big problem at my house. Our 2 kittens kept closing doors shutting them in a room while we were at work. Sometimes they were without water or a kitty litter box and entire day. This product keeps the door ajar so they can get themselves out.

> 24 hourI have a 5 year old and 7 year who loves to slam their doors when they are in trouble and now they cant slam them anymore. I also have a younger child who likes to open and close doors because well just because she knows how to do that now and your product has prevented her from slamming her fingers in the doors. They fit tightly and perfectly around the doors and they dont get loose after being hit on the door frame. My main purpose of use is for my children not to slam their fingers in the doors and to prevent them from slamming doors all the time.
