I was so excited to get these and wanted to love them. I think they are probably GREAT and perfect for household doors. Unfortunately, I was needing a solution for a heavy industrial classroom door with the automatic closing mechanism…and they didn’t hold up. They instead snapped in half from the force of the door in less than a day. I wouldn’t hesitate, though, if just purchasing for a door in your home where you just need to keep a standard door from closing completely.

You slip it on the door and it keeps it open about 2”. It’s easy to put on.

I use it so that the cat doesnt get closed out of certain rooms.

These were super simple and easy to install! A lady that I dog sit for has this so their cat can go downstairs to eat. I live in my grandmas basement so all my cats things are down there. My uncle doesn’t care and will shut the door to where she can’t get to her litter box down stairs. Since I installed these to my doors in the basement I haven’t had any issues with her not being able to access needed rooms.

I have a cat that likes to slam doors in the middle of the night. These absolutely did the trick! I imagine they’re perfect for a little fingers as well. I highly recommend.

Update: Lowered my rating because it hasnt held up to constantly being shut on. The 2nd one will be breaking soon as well. Our dog likes to lay in the bathroom because of the cool tile and dark room. But then he leans up against the door and it latches closed. Countless times wondering where our dog went! No more! Love these!

Does exactly as it advertises. Super simple to install and remove, just fit it onto your door and you’re good to go. All my cats are able to go through the space it creates.

Keeps the dogs out of the rooms i dont want them into but cats can still go in to get to their box and foods. easy to put on and easy for my 90 year old mother to open and shut the hinge.
