> 24 hourI dont like buying ebooks... Im stuck wanting physical copies I can lend and give away... but I was too interested in the world and characters of this book. Maggie was rescued from an orphanage, placed in a foster home... then basically orphaned again. The poor girl (how old is she, anyway?) has managed to overcome these hardships, and lives quite happily... until an old acquaintance delivers a mysterious old scroll before succumbing to a non-natural illness. Suddenly, Maggie learns of the murder of her foster family by someone called Evelyn, of the previous existence of a group investigating `worlds unseen whose members were key people in her life, and she has to know the secrets behind it all. She takes the scroll and embarks on a journey that will change her almost immediately, with Nicholas, a boy who can hear voices; Jerome, leader of a revolutionary group; Virginia, a blind seer; and evil shadowy creatures ready to invade the world unless it can be protected by the return of the King. The book gives snatches of old writings (or something) telling about the past, of the King who once ruled the world, of his Huntsman, and other creatures whose part Im still not really sure of. These were kind of cool, but also a little bit distracting. I liked how the locations were named. For example, Maggie comes from Londron. Easily we can see this is London, just as easily we can see this is not London. The romance was totally weird. Not in itself, just in how quickly it happened. She meets the guy, boom she knows shes in love, boom its over. Did I miss several chapters in the middle of the revolutionary stuff? Some other things happened a little abruptly too. For this reason, 4 stars. But I bought the sequel, and Im looking forward to what happens next. (Read on a Kindle.) (Note -- I didnt even know it was a Christian fantasy until I saw the other reviews here. Which means, well done.) Update: I was disappointed in the sequel and wont be bothering with the third one. I still think this book is worth the read, however.

> 24 hourThis story reminds me a lot of Lord of the Rings. Fantasy, legends and deep beliefs in things that people make harder to believe in than they should! Maggie receives a scroll from a dying man to be delivered to Pravick; a place where she will find the one person that can read and protect it. The people, dangers and adventures encountered along the way make this read so good!

> 24 hourAs a student of Gods word, I love the symbolism of each character. Ms. Thomas writes with such imagination and detail, you can see her world. I look forward to the next book!

> 24 hourListen, I cant say enough good things about this series. A very interesting series. Set your theories about religion and God aside and enjoy this wonderful tale of magic and faith! Now, dont misunderstand me, this is a wonderful fantasy series with some overtones of the Omnipotent One, but still a wonderful book. Envelope yourself in the story and enjoy!

> 24 hourWell-written and nicely edited. I dont know if it bothers others, but typos, spelling, and grammatical errors are such an eye sore for me. It seems that most e-books have their errors, but I dont know exactly why. Perhaps the editing isnt very thorough. One of the things that I noticed about this series is its overall excellence. That includes writing, editing, story, characters, and creativity. I would urge all fans of Christian fantasy, or any type of fantasy, to get into this series. Reminiscent of CS Lewis, its inspiring, powerful, and worth your time.

> 24 hourI normally do not read fantasy, but this year it seems I have stumbled into a rare breed of fantasy that I like; non-magical fantasy. After reading Truth and The Tiphereth Trilogy, I decided I was willing to try Rachel Thomsons Seventh World Trilogy. I was not disappointed. This whole series is nothing like I expected it to be. Although an allegory, Rachel went beyond the typical to make an extraordinary tale that not only was captivating, but gave some deeper insight into our faith. Without giving too much away, the allegory focused more on the beginning of the Bible. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars on Goodreads was that there were some pretty intense and dark moments in the book. The dark didnt overshadow the good, and Rachel did well at not making it too dark, but it was very intense at points. Rachels writing style is nothing short of lyrical. I reread many portions and read some of them aloud, just because they sounded amazing. I can see this as wonderful book to read aloud as a family. Rachel has what many traditionally published others struggle to obtain -- a unique and compelling writing style. The story itself kept me on the edge of my seat. In fact I read the whole series in a little over a week while I was sick. It is a real page-turner and took many unexpected twists. The relationships that develop were nothing like what I expected in the beginning. It was so refreshing to read a book that didnt turn out like I thought it would at the beginning. I highly recommend this whole series those who love non-magical fantasy, allegories, adventure stories, and those looking for a book that is anything but normal. You can get a free e-book or buy a paperback copy at Amazon, Barns and Noble, Smashwords, iTunes, and Kobo

> 24 hourI found this book more like CS Lewis than Peretti but I still enjoyed it. Not what I usually read but found myself pulled into the characters. Will definitely read the other 2 sequel to see what happens to everyone

> 24 hourI had just read a book that was interesting but wasn’t very well written, so after I finished that book I really wanted to find a series that I could really appreciate, and this book series was it. I have read this book and I’m in the process of reading the second book, and by what I have written so far it is much better written then the book I mentioned before, the storyline is also very interesting and creative. I am very glad that I found and read these books and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Thank you Rachel for a clean and wonderful read.
