My daughter gave me a Kindle for Christmas and it had Worlds Unseen on it. She thought I would like it and I did. I have been looking for Christian fantasy for a long time. I didnt know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to know more about what was going to happen to the characters. Im trying to write my own Christian fantasy series and Im glad to know there is more than historical romance and end time prophecy stories.

This was a quick read, it did not weigh me down. I think we are all intrigued by the unseen and unknown. The author wove in the spiritual battles of darkness and light beautifully into the lives of the characters. She also made clear that each one had a choice to make that would determine their future. Im looking forward to reading the next in the series. I was able to connect with the characters and want to know what happens next in their lives!

Recently, I have been really enjoying epic fantasy, grand in scope and packed with descriptive details. Other works have left me feeling less than involved in the story and rather shallow. I have also had less time to devote to reading than I could wish. Upon starting this book, those two facts kept me wondering if this would be another shallow quick read. That definitely was not the case. The story grabbed me, and I found myself looking for ways to create reading time. It swept me along and kept me wondering what was next, without being confusing. At times, I could wish more detail to better envision the world around the characters, but my epic desires can be sated elsewhere. This is intriguing just the way its written. I also tend to prefer true sword & sorcery fantasy without modern elements to it. Though the technology here included some recent developments (i.e. trains), it was interesting rather than distracting. As for being religious fantasy, I found hints and suggestions of truth and beauty throughout. However, I look forward to seeing if future episodes of the trilogy have a bolder approach towards a true witness. Overall, a great read that inspired me to purchase the rest of the trilogy. This title is frequently on the free list, where I picked it up, and I definitely believe you wont be disappointed to try it.

Fantastic, book. My wife and I are hooked. I mean she liked this trilogy and she doesnt even usually like the fantasy genre. I throughly enjoyed the book and the rest of the trilogy myself. Its very well written. I actually thought about rating books Ive read in the past down a star. This book was refreshing and fun.

I was so impressed by the plot-line and characters in this series of books, of which this one is the first. All three of them kept me up late reading and reading to see what happened next. The allegorical references were subtle, but very powerful. I highly recommend this book and its sequels. I am thrilled to have found them!

I thought the plot was clearly developed. A classic story of good and evil written without profanity and anything that you would be ashamed of having your children read. I highly recommend this book to any that are searching for good clean well written fantasy. Even though this is a fantasy series there are many golden nuggets of truth within its pages!

This book was an unexpected surprise. Im finding myself enjoying fantasy stories more and more these days, and I especially love those with Christian elements. A few times I thought some things couldve been made clearer. I was confused at times by the ancient history of this storyworld, but perhaps I was looking for the parallels and symbolism to our world too much. Overall, I really enjoyed following these characters on their first adventure and immediately went and purchased the second book in the series.

When Maggie leaves home and her guardian, Mrs. Cook, to fulfill her promise to a dying man and deliver a parchment, she has no inkling of the terror that would hunt her or the world-changing events she would stumble into. But what is meant to be will be, and Maggie, though she doesn’t know it yet, is no ordinary girl. Arriving in the port town of Calai, Maggie soon becomes the target of some unsavory characters. Nicholas and his friend, Bear, come to her aid. Like Maggie, Nicholas is no ordinary boy and he’s had to cope with being different since he was small. But the real trouble is yet to come. Nicholas rescues Maggie again when an otherworldly creature comes after her. They escape and join some gypsies on their way to Pravik. Once again, Maggie is attacked by something supernatural, and they agree to travel alone, leaving the gypsies behind. On arriving in Pravik, they are thrust into a skirmish between the High Police of the Overlord and a group of angry farmers and students. Maggie meets the man she is committed to deliver the parchment to and things start to heat up. Meanwhile Mrs. Cook helps an old acquaintance rescue another special young person who is being hunted by the same evil that hunts Maggie. But all is not as it seems. Mrs. Cook and her party arrive in Pravik as well, and Maggie and Mrs. Cook reunite. As the story progresses, history unfolds. This is a well-written and engaging tale. My only negative is that my favorite character didn’t get enough page time. It looks as if that will be corrected in Burning Light, the next book in The Seventh World Trilogy. Worlds Unseen is an enjoyable story that pulls the reader in. It is populated with rounded characters who learn and grow.

It took me awhile to get into the book, trying to get used to the writing style but after I did I enjoyed it. It is a fantasy and was scary, sad and exciting. I cant wait to find out what happens in the next books in the trilogy.
