> 24 hourWell, just look at the attached photo. 3500/3000 read/write as advertised (1TB model). At this price, how can anyone compete? Well see how long it lasts, but this was a fantastic replacement for my high-end laptops POS junk OEM Lite-On 128GB nVME. Note that laptop benchmarks were lower; I put this in my desktop to get a maximum figure from CrystalDisk. I did stick the heat spreader on because, in my laptop, it has to make contact with a plate for heat dissipation, and I removed the OEM crappy silicone-feeling sticky thermal pad and replaced it with AS5. Wondering if perhaps I shouldve done that on the inside of the ADATA plate too. FYI: this benchmarks much higher than the sister product, the Gammix S11, but ADATA just announced a Pro version of that one too. Well see how it is. For now, at this price (215 presently), you really cant beat it for a 1TB drive. Buy this one, not the S11 or XPG non-Pro. Update: As prices fell, I bought a second 1TB SX8200 Pro for my desktop and couldnt be happier. And as of writing this, theres even a coupon for it. Unbelievable value. Now, there are some people who say these synthetic benchmarks arent indicative of real-world performance; this is true IF you use these drives as bulk-file storage. This is how higher-density (3D/QLC/etc.) NAND flash works - its slower and backed up by a tiny amount of lower-density, much faster cache that runs out. But thats why people who need huge storage still buy several 3TB+ mechanical HDDs, right? Very few people reading this are probably trying to move terabytes of ISO or raw video files daily with their nVME drives (unless you do it as a profession, in which case money is no object, and you probably have a company NAS) - youre probably going to use it as a game and OS drive, which this is perfect for, with a few hundred/thousand tiny files being read in random orders to load up Battlefield or Overwatch or Windows, rarely being written to in solid sequential order for gigabytes upon gigabytes except during a one-time install. In other words, this is perfect as a game/OS drive, not for a large video/storage cache.

> 24 hourI needed to upgrade the storage capacity on my HP Elite X2 tablet. This seemed just the ticket. I had no idea how much it would increase the speed over my stock hard drive. It was significant. For example, when I open a specific program it shows a famous quote while the program is loading. With the old hard drive I could read the quote with time to spare. Many of those quotes were 20-25 words. With this new drive, I cant read 3 words before it is gone and the program is loaded. I didnt realize there would be that much difference with M.2 drives but this thing is blazing fast!

> 24 hourIts so good, Im buying another. Ive been using one for a couple years, and Ive had no problems whatsoever. Its getting a little full, and I saw that the price has gone down tremendously on these, so it was a no-brainer to buy another one. Im still on a Gen 3 motherboard, but it has been perfectly fast for my needs, and this drive is an awesome bang for your buck.

> 24 hourInstalled these in my QNAP TS-873A model NAS, directly to the mainboard, to use for caching purposes. I picked up a pair of inexpensive black heatsinks sold by SGTKJSJS here on Amazon. Totally compatible, no issues with the NAS recognizing them at install, and great performance gains. So far, Im a couple months in on ownership and Ive noticed no strange or erratic behavior. If youre a fellow QNAP or even Synology NAS owner, I wouldnt hesitate to install and use these for virtualization purposes, either with Virtualization Station/Container Station on QNAP or whatever the equivalent is these days on Synology NAS. I could see these being a good bang vs. buck purchase for gaming purposes too, based on solid scoring at the UserBenchmark website. This was a great purchase for me, all-around.

> 24 hourI needed more storage but I didnt want to use another SATA cable, so I figured Id utilize the M.2 I left vacant when I built my PC. Installation was super simple. It comes with a heatsink which is pretty much a thin piece of metal, with adhesive that you adhere to the M.2. Then slide it into place, and voila, you have more storage. The results? I did not notice any difference in terms of speed. I moved my OS and a few of my games to the ADATA and it all worked as I expected. While this drive is FAR faster on paper than an SSD, dont expect it to actually outperform a decent SSD in load times for video games and whatnot. I Included some screenshots of a test from crystaldiskmark and HWMonitor to show how the drive performed under load. While it is about 450mbp/s slower than advertised, its still a big upgrade from the 500mbp/s my original SSD is capable of. Because of this, I did knock the rating down to a 4 star. If I had gotten the advertised speeds, this drive would be a 5 star. The max temp was 55C, which is fine, but Id like to stay under 50, so Ill end up getting an aftermarket heatsink for it. Its not hard to take the drive out, so Im not bothered by the task. TLDR; Totally worth getting the drive. Performs well, runs a little warmer than Id like (55C max during crystaldiskmark), so maybe buy an aftermarket heatsink, as the included one is a thin piece of metal. 4/5!

> 24 hourGreat value for money. Preforms as described has some neat toolbox you can download from the company. You get a nice little heat deflector that looks good check out the pic. Also you get a copy of Acronis if you register. Which is great and a very helpful tool for disc imaging and cloning. So if your in the market for an affordable 512gb this hasnt let me down go for it.

> 24 hourThis review is for the ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB 3D NAND NVMe $78.99 at purchase. I never had an NVME drive before. I was building a new PC and had a budget. At first I was just going to use a SATA SSD that I already owned. After some research I decided it may be worth the money to give it a try. I selected this drive because of a PC Mag review (I dont think Amazon allows links so youll have to search for it). It is about 90% as fast as a Samsung 970 EVO Pro at about half the cost. Its easily as good as anything but that drive if not better. So I did my own tests once I had the system built. I was rather pleasantly surprised that the drive was 5X as fast as a fairly good (Wester Digital Blue) SATA SSD. I also have a HDD that I use for backups, it clocks in 30X faster than that. Note that given the architecture of these type of drives the 1GB version should be about 10-15% faster (for any brand). If, like me, you were wondering if these were worth the money the answer is absolutely yes. This particular model stands out for its value. Its not the fastest you can buy, but that extra 10% performance comes at 215% of the price. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI am really Happy with this Drive, The above benchmark is not the best I have done with it, I just wanted to have an image to go with my review, this the bench was being completed while i was doing a couple small tasks, the Max I have seen it go for Seq Reads thus far is 3,200 MB/s, But getting this item on a lightening Deal for $95 was a steal! and am purchasing another one ( I will be paying a bit more since the deal is off) but this is still cheaper than my Samsung Evo Plus, and is very comparable in speeds, I copied a 60 GB game folder, from and to the same drive at 1.2 - 1.3 GB/s, I am pleased with that outcome, this is also very nice for moving videos around if you are a creator. The software they provide for free with your purchase to clone your drive was very fast and took 12 minutes, with no issues. I have seen people reviewing this saying its not as advertised, but please be sure you are seeing what item they are talking about. The 3500 /3000 Speeds are for the 1 TB drive, not for the 256 that I have seen, and be sure you have no bottlenecks on your system, and remember if you are copying from a Sata SSD to this, you are of course not going to get 3000 MB/S read and Write speeds, you will need to either copy to and from the same drive (SX8200 Pro) or if you have 2 of these drives. the limit is as fast as the slowest drive on your system you are copying to or from.

> 24 hourAt the time of writing this. This is one of the fastest SSDs on the market, and at the time I bought it was one of the cheapest high performance 1TB NVMe SSDs. I am super happy with it. But there is one potential issue. Its a Double Sided board. - Meaning chips are on both sides of the PCB. In a standard ATX/mATX desktop, I doubt this would ever be a problem, and the SSD will work beautifully. But on Thin and light laptops and maybe ITX motherboards depending on where the M.2 slot, you might have potential issues. Some laptops have chips, capacitors exc, under where the SSD will sit, and others (Like the Thinkpad T495 I have pictured) have a slot that is thin and a very close to the motherboard. Which as you might be able to see, has caused the drive to start bending. - I mentioned ITX motherboards as I have seen some that have their M.2 slot on the backside of the board, and for space reasons may also include these thin slots, but I am unsure. I have personally only seen 1 laptop I would be unable to install this due to chips near the M.2 slot, but plenty of other laptops where there would be no problem what so ever. I havent experienced any issues, but I am swapping this drive out to go into my desktop, and installing a single sided board SSD in my Thinkpad just in case.

> 24 hourUPDATE 04/12/2020 1 star to 5 Amazon replaced the order right away and the replacement SSD has been working like a champ. I dont have any metrics etc but its been stable and working fine for 6 months now. Like many others, mine just stopped working and not showing up in BIOS. Installation and migrating Win10 from a 3 year old Samsung 950 Pro 256 SSD C: OS drive was easy and everything worked great for 10 days. I am giving adata one last try and have a replacement on the way (easy process through Amazon). Ill update this review accordingly but it will take much longer than 10 days for me to adjust the rating higher if the replacement works out. Now, the shame on me part. The very thing that I was trying to avoid, which was reinstalling Windows and apps, is now inevitable. After I migrated the OS over from my Samsung and booted with the adata, I installed it in this (Mailiya M.2 PCIe to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter - Support M.2 PCIe 2280, 2260, 2242, 2230), formatted it and set it up as a cache drive for video editing. That works great btw. Shame on me for not keeping the data on the Samsung or even backing up the OS, at least for a while....just in case. Ugh.
