This is my third adapter in 3 years, so time will tell if this one is any different from the previous two. Plug and Play right out of the box with no issues so far. Ill follow up in a year.

Setting up the system was super easy, but when I tried using it with a Dance Dance Revolution mat... I got nothing. It’s sad that I haven’t been able to use some games since upgrading to the WiiU.

I dont want to ding this review too badly, but I was not happy that it didnt work with my Wavebird controllers. I only own Wavebirds, so I could not test this with corded Gamecube controllers. I ended up finding a similar product that supported my controllers and returned this product. I dont understand, technologically, whats missing internally to only work with corded controllers even though the Wavebird receiver fit just fine into this. If all you have are wired controllers, this may work fine for you, but if you think you may want to try a wireless controller with this, beware.

While I did not put the product into PC mode, it worked right out of the box with Dolphin which was one of my concerns as many of these adapters claim theyll work, then dont. I did have the drivers needed for the OG adapter already installed so leaving it in Wii U mode and plugging the thing in was all that was needed. No noticeable input delay is noted and there were not hiccups during gameplay. Then when I plugged it into the switch, I had no issues at all. Besides a different feel with the plastic and a switch on the back. It might as well be the original GC Adapter. If you need an adapter for Dolphin, Smash 4, or your Switch games, this is undoubtedly the best option from the few knock offs Ive seen/used. To use the Wii U mode on Dolphin, just follow the instructions on their wiki to get the normal GC drivers and it works without any issue.

Perfect adapter for the Nintendo Switch. Gamecube handles do not have enough buttons to use all the functions. works great on most games.

Im giving this five stars only because it does work as advertised, just not for what I need it to. I wanted to use it on my Wii U for homebrew but as far as I can tell the only time this thing ever worked for Wii U was with Smash 4. It works basically as a pro controller for my Switch which is all fine and good for when I need an extra controller, but honestly I dont think this thing ever should have been advertised as for the Wii U when it only works with one game. Doesnt even work on the vwii built into the Wii U.

I have always thought the game controllers were the best feeling controllers in the hand. I bought this for my switch to bring those controllers back out of storage. I was pleasantly surprised that it is just about as easy as plugging in and playing. Feels light but it has done its job with no problems. So 5/5 stars as far as I am concerned. I love my GameCube controllers so much.

This was a great investment. It gave my kids the ability to use old game cube controllers with the switch There are a few issues if you are going to use a GC controller with the switch such as no zl button but thats a mild price to pay. Super happy with this.

This product DOES work with dolphin emulator 5.0. You simply need to plug it in, go to controllers on dolphin, go to port 1 and set it to standard controller. Then click to the right of it for configuration of the controller. Then click on refresh, And on that tab select the “0”one for GameCube controller since that’s considered your “1st player”. Then at the bottom where it says “A”, right next to it will be a box which for mine had the letter “x”. Make sure your GameCube controller is plugged in and click on the box next to the “A”. It will say “waiting” and while it says that click the “a” button on your GameCube controller and it will place it automatically. Then do the rest for all the buttons and sticks!
