Wheels where easily attached. I needed to replace some caster wheels that had fallen apart. After a few days the ball bearings in the wheel that allow the wheel to swivel started falling out. The ball bearings though contained in the housing are exposed to air at the sides which also exposed the grease.

These solved a problem with a rolling desk Id bought. I recommend.

These wheel caster bend like soft aluminum. Mines last about a week after installation. Dont buy, stay away!

I bought off Amazon the Panta Height Adjustable Rolling Laptop Stand and like most items that use the hard plastic casters, they do not like to roll on hard floors (and probably office mats). I liked how my rollerblade style wheels worked on my gaming chair that I looked for a replacement for the casters on my laptop stand. When I found these, I checked all the dimensions and then measured the original caster stem and they were both M8s! These are longer though and will bottom out inside the holes, but that is no problem. Only adds maybe a half inch in height off the floor. They roll so easily now on the floor and I no longer have to worry about scuffing or gouging it. The locking mechanism is easy to put on with a foot, but if you have hand or finger health issues, I would find a tool to help in taking the brakes off. I would definitely recommend these to anyone getting any piece of furniture that comes with plastic casters and has a hard floor or plastic office mat. Like my headline asks, why dont these come standard with furniture with casters. For that matter, why not supply office chairs with the roller blade style wheels too?

The propane-fueled fire pit we recently purchased came with adjustable levelling feet. We decided it would be more useful to have low profile, locking casters to make it easier to move it wherever we needed it. But, despite being made in the US, we discovered the adjustable feet were metric threaded. NO ONE locally carried threaded stem casters with the correct size/pitch metric thread. But, as usual, not only did Amazon have them but via Prime. Amazon to the rescue once again.

I had an IKEA table and needed to add some wheels for efficiency sake. This was super easy and I added them in less than 10 minutes. Love it. Thank you.

Replaced the non-slip feet of a gtomega APEX Steering Wheel stand with these casters. The lockable casters perfectly thread into the base. Excellent quality allowing my modded stand to glide smoothly on my wooden floors.

These are the best small wheels Ive come across, for my purpose they should last my life time. Its a nice addition to put threaded inserts for those that need to replace wheels with no access for bolts.
