I bought off Amazon the Panta Height Adjustable Rolling Laptop Stand and like most items that use the hard plastic casters, they do not like to roll on hard floors (and probably office mats). I liked how my rollerblade style wheels worked on my gaming chair that I looked for a replacement for the casters on my laptop stand. When I found these, I checked all the dimensions and then measured the original caster stem and they were both M8s! These are longer though and will bottom out inside the holes, but that is no problem. Only adds maybe a half inch in height off the floor. They roll so easily now on the floor and I no longer have to worry about scuffing or gouging it. The locking mechanism is easy to put on with a foot, but if you have hand or finger health issues, I would find a tool to help in taking the brakes off. I would definitely recommend these to anyone getting any piece of furniture that comes with plastic casters and has a hard floor or plastic office mat. Like my headline asks, why dont these come standard with furniture with casters. For that matter, why not supply office chairs with the roller blade style wheels too?

Last year we purchased a fire table from Amazon (similar to this, but not exact: https://smile.amazon.com/Propane-Outdoor-Auto-Ignition-Certification-Striped/dp/B098D1TPPM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=fire+table&qid=1627057799&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFLRjdMQUtGUUdTNzgmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAyNjM3ODAyN1NKWFdIN0dFMUlEJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAyMTc1OThMM0RBNzI2NTJEV1Emd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl) that is terrific, but is a heavy beast to reposition at all, especially with the propane tank included. On a whim, I wondered if it would be possible to make it mobile by adding casters. So I measured the size of the post on the feet of the table, and then researched locking casters. Many are big and bulky and would both raise the table higher than I wanted, but also distract from the look. Others were smaller, but had lower weight restrictions. This was the perfect blend. We have been VERY happy with the results so far, nice profile, super easy to roll the fire table now, and low effort to lock/unlock. The ONLY challenge was getting them screwed in. Given that the casters swivel and I was screwing into an embedded post, it took 30 seconds of trial and error to figure out a good plan of attack (I basically held the bearing in place underneath as I twisted into place).

Really impressed with the quality of this item. Unfortunately, I must return and purchase a different set of casters because they are just a bit too large for my needs. Would recommend these to any who had need of quality casters.

I bought these on the recommendation from an Ikea DIY forum for use with a Kallax metal underframe so I could a cubby system into a printer cart. They come with multiple fittings, nuts, mini wrenches, and what look to be some adapters that thread over the stem bolt - Im assuming to use the casters in a slightly bigger hole than their initial measurements. They fit the underframe perfectly, allowing it to glide over the carpet so I can move the wireless printer wherever I need it. The brakes take a small bit of effort to engage, but I dont know that this is a bad thing as it will prevent you from accidentally locking the wheels when you dont mean to, but may have just bumped a wheel. I was also using my hand vs. my foot to engage the brake so that may have been why more effort was needed. At any rate, they are solid, easy to work with and great value.

I bought these casters for use with my flexispot desk, and Ive not been disappointed. The desk glides around on my hardwood floor, and Im able to position it as needed for various purposes... and out-of-the way, when I dont need it at all. Kit comes with all the tools youll need to install on most furniture or equipment.

A good quality wheel for my rolling bird cages. This size appears to be the standard size for most bird cages so was very happy to find these wheels. They were very nicely presented in a box with extra spanners, nuts, bolts, and size 8 inserts (if needed). Installed very easily and was VERY HAPPY over all. Highly recommended.
