Not worth it! I took it camping and it kept ice as well as the cheap keg cooler i took on the same trip to store extra ice in. And no we didnt go in it all that much. Just at meals. Well you live and learn dont you. This is definitely one of those times I didnt get what I paid for.

This was a gift for my daughter and son-in-law for their anniversary. I wish an ice pack would have come with it. It came on time. It is not made in America and there are some coolers that are the same style, cheaper and made in the USA.

I have no clue what the other reviewer is talking about - this is a one piece, roto-molded bear-proof cooler made from the same material as competition quality kayaks. Yeti has patented their own technology - pressure-injected insulation uses TWICE the amount as regular coolers. Full body seal and interlock system ensure your items stay COLD! My friend has one of these - if you throw down some foil, pack it with dry ice and frozen ice water, and allow the cooler to get cold overnight BEFORE you pack it weve found you can keep food frosty for 7-10 days. Try THAT in a Coleman brand stainless steel or cheap-o Wal Mart clearance cooler. I would recommend this for hunters, fisherman, avid car campers & hikers, survivalists and preppers. You can throw it on the back of your ATV or tow it from a bicycle - at 27 lbs. backpackers should look elsewhere.

Why did I buy this? There are so many more knock offs that work just as well. Guess I was caught up with the name and wanted to be a big shot like my neighbors that have them. My next cooler will be a lesser priced option as they all offer similar performance and quality. Do some research before overpaying like me.

We gave this Yeti the ultimate test: Loaded it down with meat, milk, juice, beer and eggs then placed it in the back of our pickup truck with a campershell while we road tripped through: Death Valley, Las Vegas and northern Nevada for three days. We used two Yeti blue ice blocks and a bag of regular ice. Still had ice at the end of day three. I really wish I had waited a few weeks to buy the Yeti with the wheels. This one is unwieldy for one, especially when weighed down. Ive been looking for a wheel set, no luck yet.

Great for keeping anything cold which is no surprise for a cooler. It is MUCH heavier than anticipated but does the job better than any other cooler that I have owned.

Very impressed with the item. Really keep ice from melting quickly. I sell sodas and was having to buy at least 2 bags a day. Since purchasing ice keep for days. Really a money saver. Well worth the money.

I got a chance to test my tundra 65 this past weekend at an all-day outdoor event where temps fluctuated between 50-67 degrees. My Dad also brought his cheap Rubbermaid cooler so I figured it was a good opportunity to see just how much an additional $350 gives you. We packed both coolers nearly the same except with the Tundra I used Yeti Ice at the bottom (which is probably cheating but I wanted to see it at its most optimal set up). The event was on Saturday and today (Tuesday) there’s still about 2/3 ice in the Tundra whereas the Rubbermaid is all water. What’s interesting though is all of the ice in the Tundra is sitting on top of the Yeti ice packs and the small section that doesn’t have the Yeti ice is mostly water. Had we used Yeti ice on the bottom of the Rubbermaid as well id be curious to see what the result is. Needless to say, maintaining 2/3 of ice after 4 full days is pretty impressive and I’m happy with that even though I had to shell out extra cash for the ice packs. Whether or not the Tundra has anything to do with that or if any cooler would have performed the same is still up in the air. My gut tells me that any similar quality cooler (such as canyon or RTIC) would perform similar and at around $100 less.

Love this cooler. The package arrived with the box in tact but the cooler had two gauges on the lid top.

Tundra 65 Cooler

Meet the original YETI the Tundra. This was our baby. Where it all started. Where we took our frustrations with cheap coolers and over-engineered the hell out of them. We ended up creating a whole new category of coolers with legendary toughness and famed ice retention. And now we make the rugged, all-purpose Tundra in enough sizes to fit any outdoor adventure. There’s a good bit of its DNA in all the other gear we make too, in the form of patented and envied innovations. We’re proud to see the Tundra has grown up to be the father of all coolers.

NeverFail Hinge System: Two hinge pins and interlocking design prevent the hinge from ever breaking.

T-Rex Lid Latches: Patented design uses heavy-duty rubber so you"ll never see another busted latch.

Certified Bear-Resistant FatWall Design: Extra-thick walls hold up to three inches of insulation for unmatched ice retention.

ColdLock Gasket: A freezer-quality gasket circles the length of the lid to block out the heat and lock in the cold.

LipGrip Handles Stay out of the way and make carrying your catch seem less of a chore.

DoubleHaul Handles Made with military-grade polyester rope for extra durability.

Rotomolded Construction: Makes it armored to the core and virtually indestructible.

BearFoot Non-Slip Feet: Prevent sliding to keep your YETI in place.

Vortex Drain System: Leakproof, rugged, and designed for quick and easy draining.

PermaFrost Insulation: Pressure-injected commercial-grade polyurethane foam in the walls and lid makes sure your ice stays ice.

InterLock Lid System: Creates a form-fitting barrier against the heat.

AnchorPoint Tie-Down Slots: Molded tie-down slots for easy mounting to your boat, trailer, or truck bed.
