We went on a 4 day 3 night boat camping trip in the Florida Keys just a few days ago. Outside it was in the 90s and humid!!! I put our hamburger meat in the cooler and since it was thawed, it was to be our first meal. We left at 9AM and at 7PM when I went to get the hamburger out to make dinner, the hamburger was frozen! We came home after 4 days in the hot sun with ice still in the cooler - just one 10 pound bag and 3 yeti freezer packs and 2 cool packs on the top. AMAZING!!!!!

Its a tank, which is what you would expect based on the price. I wish the storage capacity was a little better relative to the size and the weight of the cooler, but it holds ice better than anything Ive ever owned. Definitely gonna try one of the yeti hoppers next.

This did not hold ice for nearly as long as advertised. Followed directions to a tee. Cooled the cooler off for a day first, with one pound of ice cubes. Chilled everything I put into it for two days before filling. Made 1LB blocks of ice and filled the bottom and sides with 7 blocks. Filled with beverages, and topped off with ice cubes until there was no space left in cooler. All ice was dry, not wet. Left under my camper with a moving blanket over it for 36 hrs without opening, and came back to most of the ice cubes melted, and the blocks of ice about half melted. Literally the water bottles had melted into the blocks making concaves. The air temperature was about 90ºF with 100% humidity, but these are supposed to hold ice in the worst of Texas heat. I had to go home and I came back with a small igloo cooler(not chilled first though) set up the same with block ice, cubes, and chilled water bottles, and didnt even cover it, just kept it out of the sun, and the ice lasted just as long. Both about 2 1/2 days to reach the same amount if ice melt. Definitely all hype, and not worth the money. The more I research Yeti, the less I like the company. I will be trying other rotomolded coolers to see how they compare. I would not, and am not, recommending this product.

Love my Yeti. This came with a basket tray which I didn’t realize and was super excited about! The color is a great color (true to image). There was a little gash in the cooler, but it is so large I didn’t want to go through the hassle of exchanging it. Overall, great cooler, worth the money!

What can I say about this that hasnt already been said? Yeah its expensive but I was sick and tired of paying for crap coolers for 20+ years. I got over it and purchased this beast. Unless it meets some unfortunate demise this should last at least the next 20 years if not 40, or 60.... Well worth it. Enjoy.
