Easy to install and just as sturdy as I would expect. Lots of reviews saying this is flimsy, but I disagree. I would suggest buying that foam weather stripping to help seal the cracks around the panel and window. My window is about 50”+ in height and this fit with room to spare.

Sturdier, wider, and easier to put together and too install. I did not have to add additional home-made panels and duck tape them to the OME kit that came with AC Unit to fit my wide window.

The edges are uneven so there’s no way to avoid having a gap between the window & the insert . The insert that connects the hose to the exhaust outlet doesn’t click into the hole . I was forced to use duct tape to keep the hose in place & there’s still gaps . All in all , with some fiddling, it does the job . But for a few pieces of flimsy plastic the price is kinda steep. If you are remotely handy & have a power saw you can make your own for less $ & it will probably look better & be sturdier.

It has one page that shows what is included and has 6 small photos as installation steps, that arent very handy or clear. How does one tell which is the inner vs. outer plate. This was aggrivated because my AC hose is 5.5 and no matter how I twisted it would not fit, I had to use tape to connect without a gap. It also came with a roll of foam tape, but seems like it was just thrown in, not pictured or explained. There are gaps that I will use this stuff to fill, but its not uniform. Pretty confusing overall, again the hose to my Sharp brand portible AC unit is 5.5 instead of 5 inches, but I cant seem to find a window kit that allows for this difference.

This was a great and easy replacement piece for our AC unit in a pinch. It was really easy to install. The only thing is that the vent tube falls out of place quite easily, we ended up having to duct tape it in place. Worked totally fine after that.

The only thing Id suggest for this kit is to add weather seal tape, a hose to drain the water & a 2nd duct end.

Not really universal. i have a Toshiba portable unit that I wanted another connection for. Cant find one online, sadly this did not work.

After the baffle on my portable AC just wasnt doing the job, I bought this. On one hand, I was surprised that the hose adapter that came with the AC didnt it, but the hose at least fits on the provided flange. The wing nut and bolt assemblies do a good job of holding everything in place, leaving this to be adjustable to some typical window configurations. Just add foam weather stripping, and youve got a good arrangement. This gets five stars.
