Works much better than plugging in a charger to a cigarette lighter. The ability to monitor the battery voltage is cool too.

It may technically be a USB 3.0, but it does not charge my phone fast enough.

Installed this in my slingshot. Needed extra USB charging ports. Voltmeter was a bonus. Drill 1 1/8 hole saw, then some slight grinding with file or dremel tool and you are home free. Only consideration is the rain cap is open when charging devices. But I probably wouldnt have phone out in rain anyway.

My cigarette lighter charger always vibrated loose and I was constantly having to ensure it was pushed in. NO MORE!!! This item was a breeze to install and works perfectly. I replaced the lighter outlet in my 2015 jeep Wrangler. I had to open the hole in the plastic panel just a tiny bit to allow for it to insert. Easy work for a dremel tool. Made connections to the existing lighter wiring and I was in business. It comes with spade connectors and everything you need. I soldered the wiring instead of using the connectors but even with that, installation took MAYBE 15 minutes!

Great product and works as described! Old cig lighter stopped working so I opted for this and don’t regret it. The voltmeter is a plus too, since my car didn’t have one. Install was easy but item was a bit bigger than expected. I just used a dremel to shave a bit of the existing cig lighter hole to get it to fit.

Item was perfect for my needs. I needed a live USB port on my boat and this came with two and a voltage readout a well so I always know the state of charge of my battery. Very important when your in the middle of a lake and you’ve been playing the radio all day and your phone is low.

Good for the money

This was a custim install the replace the cigarette lighter on my 1990 miata. I was able to modify the stock connector to fit the prongs on the charger like it was meant to be that way from the factory. A little work with my Dremel and I was able to screw the unit into the factory lighters location and lock it in with the provided nut. The voltage reading is spot on as far as what voltage my alternator is putting out and all of my USB cable fit nice and snug.
