It’s hard to find a truly great backpack for frequent travel at a bargain price. This bag has been a compromise between AWESOME and ADEQUATE. New out of the box, it was pretty good. Adequate room, good layout, comfortable, and easy to pack. There is room for a full size laptop, tablet, all the cords and plugs, a couple days work of clothes, notebooks, etc. Check your main bag, and use this as your Go Bag. My only disappointment has been minor - durability. Some secondary stuff tore or separated (no big deal), while the bag as a whole is still quite functional and comfortable. To date: 2 years of use, 2 dozen trans Atlantic flights plus a couple others within Europe, and daily use to/from the office. I have more than gotten my money’s worth out of the bag.

What do you do when your teen goes through backpacks 2 or 3 in a year? Complains its not big enough for their laptop, schoolwork, Xbox, umbrella, and condoms. Well, you buy this tough son of a bitch. Yes, he broke one of the zippers after 4 months, but other than that he got through the entire school year walking through the rain and snow without busting it wide open or breaking off the top carrying strap. So what did he do to finally ruin it? He left his old gym clothes in there all summer from June until August. The smell was too much for us to clean, so we just bought a new one. Six months in and even the zippers are holding up.

We were planning a trip to an entertainment park and wanted something that we could carry on the plane and would be able to hold clothing and etc. I found that this also fits perfect in the accepted size for a carry on. The product has more pockets for things then I have ever seen and it has a usb connection on the outside so you can have a battery pack inside and just plug in on the outside for charging our other use. It is very comfortable when fully loaded, as I did, and did not dig into the shoulders with the straps. Easy storage access to pockets, light weight yet strong, and options for great traveling with the plus of accepted size on planes.

THE GOOD: 1. This backpack has a lot of space and a lot of pockets. The pockets are well thought-out and useful. There are plenty of dividers to keep things organized. They seem to be in all the right places. The laptop padding is minimal, but sufficient, and there is a safety strap that you can use to prevent your laptop from sliding out (good for airports). 2. The shoulder straps are wide and hold well. They can handle a lot of weight. Even when the backpack is loaded and heavy, it sits comfortably on my shoulders. 3. There is a rugged USB port on the exterior that links to a cable inside the backpack that you can plug into a battery. This can be useful if you want to keep your backpack zipped up and still have access to the battery. THE BAD: 1. The plastic handle on the top of the backpack split within days of traveling with it. Even though there is a steel cable inside of the handle, the plastic is not shaped properly to handle much load. I would avoid using it when the backpack is fully loaded and heavy. Instead, use the shoulder straps. When I complained to Nancys Shop about the broken strap, they replaced it -- Im very happy about that. 2. There is an external USB port that allows you to charge devices while the backpack is zipped up. That port has a cable inside the backpack that you plug into a USB battery -- and that cable tends to get tangled up with other items in the bag. 3. Because of the lightweight material used, the opening flaps can flop around when pockets are loaded and this sometimes makes it difficult to zip up the backpack. OVERALL: Overall the design is good. At this price, the backpack might not use the best materials, but it can still provide superb organization and maintain a light weight.

    Greater than one week

This does fit a Lenovo 17 which measures larger than some other 17 computers apparently (or else some people who answered the question dont actually own one, or didnt actually measure their own computers). I had returned 2 bags already that said it fit 17 laptops. The Lenovo measurements are 11 1/2 x 16 1/2 and on diagonal measures 19 3/4 Water resistance got an average from me because they are the same when resistant as most. Only the water PROOF will be better.

As of this writing, Im a 41-year-old man who already has an AS in software engineering; BS in business management; and MBA. I earned the AS back in 98 at a brick-and-mortar school. My other degrees were at online-dominant schools. All my submissions were typed and submitted electronically, all presentations done virtually, all professor interactions done via videoconference. Most testing was proctored online. I bring this up not to be braggadocios in the least, but to indicate that its been TWENTY YEARS since Ive been on a school campus. I decided for a career change to nursing, so here I am, back on campus 20 years later, needing an actual backpack to carry physical books, and notebooks, and binders, and pencils, and pens, and other accoutrements of on-campus student life. Oh, my! Being frank here, I didnt know what to even look for, so I picked the first thing that came up in search results. Serendipity, I love you because I made a good decision. This backpack is beyond spacious. Im taking full load of classes, so even beyond my required textbooks, I have a crap ton of items to tote around. Two notable points: 1.) I have never felt I was running low on space. No matter how much I cram in here, there always seems to be room for yet more. If anything, there might be too much space, because I occasionally find I have to search around for items. (I guess this wouldnt be an issue if I remembered where I packed them.) 2.) Despite the large load, I never feel encumbered. I have zero clue how they designed the backpack for this, but whether Im carrying it on one shoulder or both, I simply dont feel bogged down. This is important because my classes are scattered all across the campus, which means a lot of walking. The last thing I need is getting to class hobbled over in back pain. I also only realized the USB port after I purchased it. How cool is that! I can buy a portable charger, which I will, and keep my phone or any other USB-friendly device charged while Im at school all day. Even though I did zero research to get it, Im happy with my haphazard purchase. Its made college life that much easier.

I fit 2 laptops into the same main zipper-ed compartment this bag with ZERO issues. I originally intended to pack this backpack into my checked luggage before boarding its first flight, but my checked bag was 6 pounds overweight which would have cost me $40+ in additional fees... I first thought the backpack was far too large to be considered a personal item for carry-on, but it was not. Super annoying to have to pull both laptops out and put them in separate plastic bins for the probing at the airport security checkpoint but ever with all the gear I put in this backpack for a week-long work trip, it was only at about half of its fit capacity. It fit under the seat in front of me without an issue. Its comfortable to carry one 1 or 2 shoulders. The only questionable part about it is how the USB charger pack is supposed to work? Seems like a good idea in theory, but... the way the bag is designed to hold the charger pack seems like it would be a rather small charger pack that would be a challenge to recharge later. There are a few port holes where USB cables run through (included with the bag) but Im not so sure Id ever actually used them. Cool idea though. I was a bit skeptical of this backpack purchase at first because it seemed like kind of a gimmick: lots of space, cheaper than others of similar capacity, usb port holes built in, etc. But I have to say Im VERY glad I have this backpack now. Definitely an upgrade from the other laptop backpacks that Ive purchased over the years that have ended up with odd problems like broken or frozen zippers. Aside from the still-needs-work USB charger-pack concept, this thing is perfect for travel.

It has plenty of space and different sizes and types of compartments. The side straps do get in the way of the zippers if you leave them clipped. The rubber handle has broken on one side already (after 2 months) and I only take this to and from work so its not abused by airline travel.

Ive only used this bag for a few days but so far I like most things about it. The bag itself is light and this is a plus until items are placed in the front pockets. When there are items in the front pockets, then the bag tends to fall forward. This is a bit frustrating when trying to get something from the front pockets and you have to fight with the bag. Keeping all the zippers closed is helpful, but time consuming when retrieving things from various pockets. However, it has a large number of pockets and places to store both large and small items. I like the organization except for the front pockets. There are lots of small storage spaces in the bottom front pocket, but these are not very accessible when the bag is on the ground.

Definitely buy the warranty. What this doesnt tell you is that they guarantee the purchase for 30 days. No more. I bought this on October 5. Its now February 27, so not quite 5 months after purchase. My son (a freshman in high school) needed this for his classes because his old backpack was worn out and falling apart. This is definitely spacious, has lots of compartments, and my son liked it a lot. But now the zippers are pulling apart from the fabric - the small pocket in the very front just hangs open like a flap now. Not only is the zipper coming away from the fabric, but the teeth are pulled apart as well, so even if I could fix the zipper, it wont zip anymore because of these issues (and this isnt even a pocket my son uses). Its too bad, because otherwise, its a great backpack . Again, really spacious, *most* of the materials are solid (there are a couple of spots where its already starting to show wear and tear, but thats more appearance than structure), and its comfortable. Just too bad the zippers are cheap and the seams werent sewn together well. So if you want to get this one, *definitely* buy the warranty so when it starts to fall apart in a couple of months, at least you can get a replacement. Me, Im SOL, I guess. Update: its not April 5. This morning, my son lifted his backpack from the floor by the handle, and a huge hole ripped in the top main compartment. He then went to add something to the top front zipper area, and the same thing happened as back in February: the zipper has peeled away from the backpack, and the zipper tabs came apart. So now the two front pockets are completely non-functional. Were just going to have to trash this one and buy him a new backpack. Whats funny is, I bought my daughter the same backpack, but her is in gray. Theres no issues with it at all. Yet, anyway. But yeah, youre just tossing your money out the window with this thing.
