Yupo is the way to go with alcohol ink painting

This manufactured material mimics water color paper, but it requires a new style of painting for these reasons--it is very slick, so watery paint will slide unless controlled, and when paint is dried and another wash is applied, the wash will not so much blend with the undercoat but cover it entirely. Plus? You can erase whole paintings in a sink and still have a clean page . Yupo is good for practice.

I know this stuff has some funky uses, but I decided I wanted to use it with acrylic. Did two paintings on the stuff and its pretty nice for the medium. Super white, smooth, paint glides on uniformly, blending felt easier as there was no texture to bite. Was particularly nice for throwing it in a common size photo frame to hang.
