Zilla Terrarium Heat Mats Black Small, 10-20 Gallon, 8 Watt

It provided a warm spot for our tarantulata to hang out on, but I doubt it could warm a 10 gallon tank. My major complaint is the adhesive did not last past two days.

This heat mat worked great for 2 weeks. Then I noticed it was progressively not heating up as much. Now the temp is so low that I can’t use it. Waste of money.

Had this to help heat a 125 gallon tank I was using to hold two corn snakes. It wouldnt stay onto the bottom of the tank so I had to put towels underneath the pad to press it against the glass. I didnt remove it or anything and left it where it was on the first stick so I think the adhesive just cant stand up to the heat and just gave up within the first day of usage. Heat wise it works fine, the snakes are pretty happy and seem pretty active and digest their meals just fine. I would get the Zoo Med instead as I am using that one for my 20 gallon tank that my king snake is in. The Zoo Med gets just as hot despite being only a 5w pad, the adhesive hasnt lost its bite yet and comes with bottom raisers so the tank wont pinch the cable. On the 125 Gallon tank this wasnt a problem since the stand I have the tank on has a hole on the table top for the cord to slip through. Only issue is the Zoo Med doesnt come in this particular size, the extra long shape made it perfect for the really big tank I was using it with. Either way, Id rather pay more for 2 Zoo Med small sized heaters then one of these again, and looking back its what I should have done. Pros: 1. Size and shape perfect for extra large tanks 2. Price is fair compared to other pads this size Cons: 1. No bottom raisers for the tank, need them to prevent cord pinching 2. Adhesive failed after one day 3. Doesnt get that hot considering how much watts it consumes

Zoomed is normally my go-to for reptile products, but the Zilla heat mats are fantastic. Slow but reliable, steady heat. Definitely worth investing in a zoomed thermostat as well, though.

Works wonderfully. Easy to apply.

Got this for my sons bearded dragons to warm their bellies before they ate. We had one that did not survive because he had an impacted bowel from eating cold worms on a cold belly. So far so good. Its been a few months now and they seem to be healthy and love laying on it.

My lizzard really enjoyed this little heating pad. Not too hot. Just right for bearded dragon

Id really leave no stars for this is I could. We ordered these to be sent to our house which we were moving into. Which they were. We got here yesterday and put them onto brand new, clean tanks last night. This morning we came in and both beaters fell off of the tanks because the glue wouldnt hold them on. My lizards are both frozen and had better not get sick. Not only that but these heaters were sitting on a wood floor all night now as well. This entire purchase was an expensive waste.
