This is a great ice cream scoop! Its on the heavy side but weighted so that works for you as you scoop. Digs into the ice cream with ease. I dont think this can go in the dishwasher but its so easy to clean that doesnt matter.

Because the scooper end is flat and not pointed, it’s extremely hard to scoop ice cream that’s frozen solid. It works fine if you’re using it to scoop from a brand new carton. However, I’d look for a different scooper if you’re trying to scoop ice cream that has frozen solid.

I have been scooping ice cream nearly every night for decades for somebody or other ..... Our family prefers very hard ice cream, but this scoop cuts through it very well. It seems like the head is too big for the handle, but thats part of the design. Bought this one for my elderly dad to make it easier for him as well.

This is our 3 or 4th purchase of these ice cream dippers. We needed a new one for our RV. Always as expected and for a fair price!

I purchased this to replace the one I bought years ago from Sur La Table and which lost some of its finish from my old dishwasher -- based on that experience I recommend hand washing, because the d/w jets force other utensils to scratch against the coated scoop surface. This scoop has great heft which is a big help when scooping ice cream that has not softened. If you make your own ice cream, I really recommend getting a long narrow plastic storage container so that you can pull the scoop in long straight strokes. Trust me it makes a big difference and also makes more economical use of your freezer space.

This is the best thing under the sun for ice cream fans. This scoop was our third one by Zyliss cuz we eat ice cream quite often and various flavors. Word to the wise: don’t leave the scoop in the ice cream bucket when you’re done using it: it’ll melt your ice cream super fast. The antifreeze inside will do that for you.

This scoop works so much better that anything else i have tried.
