This scoop is the best! It cuts right through the ice cream.

This is a great ice cream scoop! Its on the heavy side but weighted so that works for you as you scoop. Digs into the ice cream with ease. I dont think this can go in the dishwasher but its so easy to clean that doesnt matter.

Purchased one of these scoops a few years back. It was mostly washed by hand with a sponge and Dawn dish soap (not in the dishwasher). The coating on the metal bowl started pitting and bubbling. It did not look like there was actual flaking but it was unattractive and worrying. All in all, it lasted less than a year.

The shape of the scoop and the handle are excellent. However the plating used on the scoop pits and flakes off after time. Small flakes of metal will inevitably end up in your ice cream. Worse, Zyliss knows full well about this and their answer is that coating is food safe (yes, that was their exact response to me). In addition, the pits can store bit of food and bacteria. These arent particularly expensive, and if you dont mind tossing them out and buying a new one every time they start pitting, these are a great option.

I bought one of these years ago. After using several lousy scoops at my mother-in-laws I decided she needed this scoop, too. It’s easy to scoop even hard ice cream. Ice cream should not be a workout to get to…ice cream is a treat…so it could be easy to scoop. This is the best ice cream scoop I’ve ever owned or used.

This is the best ice cream scoop. It just glides through the ice cream. I have arthritic hands, so I was really amazed how easy it scooped the ice cream. Better than any other ice cream scoop on the market! So very glad I purchased this Zyliss ice cream scoop!

I have been scooping ice cream nearly every night for decades for somebody or other ..... Our family prefers very hard ice cream, but this scoop cuts through it very well. It seems like the head is too big for the handle, but thats part of the design. Bought this one for my elderly dad to make it easier for him as well.

Makes a decent size scoop. Easily digs into a frozen box of ice cream. This replaces one by the same maker that was probably 10 years old. I wont put this one in the dishwasher.
