The aluminum is good material but 3/16 shy of 12 and 1/16 shy of 6. Not good if you need starting material that is 12 X 6 as advsrtised.

Unfortunately I was done cutting my project and I realize after mounting why the plate was crooked. Not only is the plate not a perfect rectangle but it’s not 6x12 as advertised.

i guess you get what you pay for, i ordered 2 of these and theyre both slightly undersized, one more than the other by a good 1/8inch. yikes. they should still serve their purpose, but thats not what you wanna see from mill stock. another odd thing is that the last time i ordered the tool marks on the ends indicated it was cut by a rotary blade, likely a metal cutting chop saw of sorts, this time tho it looks like some kind of hydraulic presss was used to cut through and its ugly. surface finish is fine, but all the edges are chewed up. thankfully as i mentioned these will likely serve their purpose but this is a whole other level of dont trust the factory edge, no 2 sides are square. just yuck, quality has dropped here, shop elsewhere

Dimensions are inaccurate. Nice piece but advertised 6x12 piece of .25 aluminum plate is .125 short on the 12 side. A little extra is typically acceptable but a little short is unacceptable when laying out a project. Also made in China. I missed that in item description.

The width was not cut to true 6 inch dimension, closest mm. OK as I only needed 5 inches for my project. a little gummy to machine. I am not sure which version of 6160 it is.

I cut my finger as I was removing it from its cardboard box . I had to take a file and go over all the edges as cuts and splinters abound. Otherwise a good product. Bruce

I havent installed it yet but plan to use it as a wider base under a t-top base on an old boat that has a soft spot. Hopefully it will work.

Actual measurements 5.98 x 11 7/8. It has cut edges on all 4 sides that are rough enough to require milling off another 0.05 or so. Not bad for what it is, but dont buy it expecting it to be a hair over 12 cutoff from an actual 6in flat bar like you might get from a metal supplier.
