good quality extension cord in the length I required.

I had to return it because the female end had two holes that were the same size, not one hole larger than the other, so I couldnt insert the hairdryer plug into it.

Review for: 1ft. US Power Extension Cable Perfect length for the need I have for them. I really appreciate having this 2 prong plug at this length for that purpose. Be aware that this extension may only be good for 7 Amps, NOT 12 Amps. DETAIL: Writing on the female plug end claims 7A 125V (7 AMPS), NOT 12 amps as in the product description. This means the cord is rated for less electricity to pass through it than in the product description (or is improperly labeled, of course). You wouldnt want to use this in any way with high amperage equipment like a hair dryer. The good news is one might be hard pressed to imagine in what circumstance a cord of this length would be put to use with a high amperage device in a home, but you never know. How the cord received DOES MATCH the pictures: -------------------------- - The male plug tongs being the exact same size. - The male plug tongs have plastic sheathing for the first 1/4 or so of the tongs. How the cord received DOESNT MATCH the pictures: ----------------------------- - The female plug outlet holes arent the same width, which is a good thing. Spendy, but the only short 2-prong extender I could find. Works just fine.

1st: make sure you order the correct type! Polarized or non polarized. Current day plugs are polarized. I believe its only old time xmas lights etc that are non polarized. I had no idea about this topic until I read another review. So I googled it and was glad I did. I think I would have ordered non polarized not knowing the difference. I bought this for my new toaster that (like another reviewer mentioned) has a super short cord. Its perfect! Will definitely keep in mind for the future.
