Isnt universal couldnt use as intended to extend tv power cord so now paper weight

Used to attach our lighted Christmas tree to the revolving stand and it worked perfectly. It was exactly as described. Some reviews stated they received this item in a longer length but the item I received was 12 inches as advertised. We are very pleased with the product.

1st: make sure you order the correct type! Polarized or non polarized. Current day plugs are polarized. I believe its only old time xmas lights etc that are non polarized. I had no idea about this topic until I read another review. So I googled it and was glad I did. I think I would have ordered non polarized not knowing the difference. I bought this for my new toaster that (like another reviewer mentioned) has a super short cord. Its perfect! Will definitely keep in mind for the future.

The length of this cord is perfect for wall mounted TVs. Eliminates having to hide large extension cords behind the TV.

Well, after reading a lot of the reviews, I bought one. Heres what I can tell you. The socket end is the polarized type with one narrow input and one wide input. The plug, on the other hand is of the older non-polarized type - both prongs of the same width. See the pics of what I received. The item IS NOT one foot long. The wire itself is 16 inches. Add the socket end + plug end and it becomes about 21 inches long (nearly two feet!?!) Again, see the pic of the one I received against a measure. And finally, the female end is stamped for 10 Amp service, NOT 12 Amp as described. The two pics are the same item, just laid out on two different surfaces. Three star because item works fine but... ...inaccurate length and amperage description, AND having a polarized socket but NOT a polarized plug end (WTH?).
