> 24 hourSteel arrived today. Dimensions are right and it looks good but every single piece has a noticeable bow to it. I might be able to straighten them out but its very disappointing especially given the item description of strict quality standards.

> 24 hourOrdered these blanks to show my son how to make his own knife. He got his pattern scribed and showed me and I noticed the bow in the steel. So far only 1 out of the 4 is bowed. Would recommend Jantz Supplies. Always had good quality from them.

> 24 hourI recently purchased the 4 Pack 12x1.5x0.12 1095 Steel Flat Stock and have been very satisfied with my purchase. The steel is of high quality and has held up well during the machining process. It is also easy to work with and holds a good edge. One of the things I appreciate most about this steel flat stock is the consistency in the dimensions. Each piece was exactly the same size, which made it easy to use for my project. I also appreciate the durability of the 1095 steel. It is a strong and reliable material that can withstand a lot of wear and tear. Overall, I would highly recommend the 4 Pack 12x1.5x0.12 1095 Steel Flat Stock to anyone in need of a high-quality steel for their project. Its a great value for the price and has exceeded my expectations.

> 24 hourSo yeah, steel arrived in good packaging, nicely oiled so zero corrosion. It was also perfectly flat, unlike the last 1095 i bought from a different supplier. I traced out a pattern went to rough cut the excess steel and watched as annihilated the diamond edge on an expensive Diablo Metal cut-off wheel i love using. I grabbed a good Nicholson metal file and it skated right off the steel. I just started making knives and while my little diy forge is great for heating a knife to non-magnetic for hardening, i just dont have the ability to heat it for the duration and temp level in order to do a proper anneal. I guess its time to step up and make an annealing box or maybe even build an oven of sorts.

> 24 hourActual dimensions were 12 (almost exactly), x 1.493 x .160. So it wasnt quite as wide as advertised. However the corners were cut very square and werent rounded over like other steel I have used in the past. This means I can push the spine all the way to the edge instead of losing some width to compensate. So even though this is 0.007 too small, the usable billet of steel is the same effective size as others I have used. All three pieces are exactly the same as each other, so clearly a consistent product. Packaging was great & all were unblemished & rust free. Pretty happy overall.
